I love this hat! If you want to put your hair in a ponytail it is nice to have the back area open to do that. I get sunburned easily and this hat protects my face. It also keeps me cool in the outdoor heat. The strap comes in handy to tighten it around your chin if it is windy outside. It folds and packs nicely. I highly recommend it!

I love the weight of this hat. I am not a big fan of hats but needed one for an upcoming cruise. I think that this will be perfect. It is lightweight and folds compactly in my bag. I like the ponytail hole built in and the chin trap feels secure The fit is great and I don't think I will have issues with my head hurting from it like I usually do with hats. Can't beat it for the price.

If you are looking for a lightweight, low cost hat on Amazon designed for women that can snap up on the sides like a cowboy hat shape, you have very few options; I know because I looked. This is a very good option. This is the second hat I've purchased from this seller because of how much I like the first I bought in pink and gray. This time, I picked the pale putty color because I wanted a color that would match everything. This hat has an improvement over the last I purchased: the strap at the back is not too snug. I solved that problem with my old hat on which the strap was so tight that I just left it open. However, this hat has kept its wrinkles on its brim from being folded. The first relaxed following a good rinse in water. I've tried soaking this one and letting it dry twice now and the brim still shows the folds. I suspect I will be the only person who even notices it. The fabric on the top of this hat is very light and the venting really does work. It is an excellent hat for wearing on the hottest sunny days. Based on what I paid, this hat is bargain and then some.

I like the hat. I needed a nice looking brimmed hat that also shielded my ears from the sun. The colors are nice, it does protect my ears, it has an adjustable chin strap, and the hat adjusts for around your head and there is a place to pull your pony tail through. I only have 1 issue with this hat. It is very uncomfortable to wear on windy days. So the chin strap is very dorky so I do not use it. But you can adjust it where your pony tail goes through and this is the problem. The strap that adjusts the hat is very thin--possibly about 1/2 inch. So when you tighten it around your head, it is painful as the strap needs to be wider to spread the surface area around your head. I hope that makes sense! So a tiny band is putting pressure on your skull--the band needs to be wider to lessen that pressure. So after a walk on a windy day, I end up with a very bad headache from the pressure and my forehead as a thin indention mark. So the concept is good--just the tightening band needs to be thicker.

I saw this in a review and thought I’d give it a try. You know, easy returns at Amazon and all…. I have kinda a big head, and not because I’m full of myself. It’s genetic, and if I look weird, it’s not because of my big head… but I digress. I bought this hat for a cruise and breach trip. Worked great. Fit perfectly! Stayed on my big head with strangling no my brain. I was so comfy, I fell asleep in the sun! My head didn’t feel like it was going to fry, and with the chin strap, I didn’t loose it to the wind on the boat during a snorkel trip! I may order a couple more for gardening and other sun-filled activities! Also, the hat arrived all folded up, and I kept it that way for convenience. It’s not a fancy hat, but a functional one. I liked it.
