Fabric shows EVERYTHING. So, smooth seamless undies are a must & skims or spanx will show completely. I'm not really comfortable with that but I like the color and the feel of the skirt so much for summer I'm going for it. I'm hoping to lose a knee dimple with lots of working out before wearing this.

I had a skirt like this in the 80s that I loved. I think this buffalo plaid is sort of timeless so I have been looking to replace that skirt for a long time. I didn't want wool and linings and zippers and all that, just something easy. this is perfect. I worried before I got it that it might look really cheap since it isn't woven like plaid is, but a print. But it isn't a cheesy fabric where the design is printed on in an ugly way. Plus the stretch fabric is nice for moving around. I am 5"8" and am an XL person, and this fit me. It is slightly short but I leave it just under my natural waist and it is long enough for a more mature person. Just to the tops of my knees. If you are younger...you could pull it up or fold it to be as short as you want. I wore it with a simple, black top, a simple black flyaway cardigan (which I am sure I got here on amazon) and red suede ballet flats (from My Habit... dang, I miss that site, Amazon!) The first four people I saw that day complemented me on my outfit. I don't get complements every day so that was nice. I almost want to buy another one just to have in case I snag this one or something because I love it so much.

UPDATE 9/20: Added photos of the XL. (Last one is my most recent outfit with it). The wrinkles did not come out after washing, BUT I used the steam setting on my iron at medium heat with the skirt inside out and they came out and looks great and I’m confident it won’t wrinkle (and it hasn’t). I’m happy I reordered up to the XL, because of how I prefer the fit. It is below the knee and comes up pretty high, and again, I don’t mind it, but it just needs to be what you’re looking for. (Side note: I feel like it might be super long/high if you’re shorter?) ... Original: I’m 5’7”, 155lbs, and I ordered the large. I wear a size 10/12 in pants (Old Navy, Walmart brand, etc.). For reference, I don’t prefer skin tight, especially with dresses and skirts. This skirt isn’t super stretchy, and was very tight on my butt in my opinion. I already ordered the XL because I love the skirt. It’s at/right below knee length, high waisted with a thick band, and the material does not seem to wrinkle really. I pulled it out of the bag and I could see the fold crease a little, but I’m thinking that’ll come out as soon as I wash it. I’m really excited to get the XL in and see if that works for me. Love the style and how simple but nice it is. Four stars for the moment, because the sizing is off from what I expected; will update and add a pic when I get the XL.
