I bought this 8 AWG wire from WindyNation for expanding the 12V coach power grid in my RV, and I’m really impressed with it. The wire feels solid and well-made, with thick, durable rubber insulation that gives you confidence it’ll hold up over time. What really stood out, though, is how flexible it is—surprisingly so for wire this heavy. That made it much easier to pull through existing channels and tight spaces during installation. It is thick, has durable insulation and is very flexible, which made it easy to work with. The 15-foot length was just right for his project, and it handled the power load without any issues. I recently purchased the 1/0 Gauge 1/0 AWG 10 Feet Black + 10 Feet Red Welding Battery Pure Copper Flexible Cable and I'm very impressed with the quality of these cables. The pure copper construction ensures that these cables are very durable and long-lasting, while the flexible design makes them easy to work with in a variety of settings. This is excellent wire. It is the 2nd time I have purchased the 4 AWG wire. I have also purchased the 2 AWG wire. It has a soft tough outer coating, is very flexible and is of very high quality. I have been using to for wiring up my solar batteries to the bus bars and the 2 AWG from the bus bars to the 50 amp inverters. I highly recommend it. Don't skimp on the cheaper wire with the slick plastic coating. The last thing you need is a fire because you wanted to save a few dollars.

I've always had a good experience with WindyNation cables, and this was no exception! The cable is indeed very flexible, especially considering its heavy gauge (1/0 AWG in my case). Insulation seems durable. Stranded conductors should be 0.3680" in overall diameter, and they were bang-on as measured with my calipers. This is clearly real copper all the way through - no CCA or tin plating to be found. I ordered 10' per color and was sent a full 10' in each, plus an extra ~1" just to be sure. Price was also the best I could find for the length at the time I ordered. Definitely shop around, as with all commodities, the price per foot will vary somewhat based on the length you order and the manufacturer you order from - but I usually end up with WindyNation for all my cables because they are typically the cheapest, and I know from experience that I can trust the quality.
