I bought this 8AWG cable partially based on the chart the seller shows in the pictures.. showing the diameter of the conductor being 0.129". I am using it with an Anderson Connector whose crimp pin ferrules have an I.D. of ~0.136". Stripping the insulation and trying to insert the wire I find there's no way... this conductor is 0.150" ! That's great for carrying high current.. but not so great when it won't fit the crimp pins. I had to drill out the crimp pins with an 11/64" drill bit. Fortunately the walls on the crimp pin ferrules are thick enough that I can bore out this much copper. After that everything was good. I had to deduct 1 star for the bad dimensional representation by the seller... otherwise, great stuff. ... show more

I am using this to replace the ground lead on my Mig Welder. This one is a lot more flexible and a bit longer. I did decide to go with the slightly heavier gauge wire as it is longer, but even so, it is easier to handle and "wind up" to put away.
