For the price, I'm comfortable to "more or less" recommend these - but if you find a similar product by another brand for even slightly cheaper, I'd try that first (at least until Wise Owl's manufacturing/quality control takes a turn for the better). I ordered several of these for a recent camping trip, and we put them through their paces. They basically work they way they should, though I would be very surprised if they survive more than a few trips in total. With microfiber cloth you can really only have at most 2 of the 3 qualities that you need in a camp towel (light weight, durable, absorbent), and the cloth density in these manages to strike a pretty decent compromise—with durability clearly being the lowest priority—that proved comfortable enough to both use and carry. I still came very close to returning them all due to the generally-suspect stitching, but because I take such good care of my gear I figure maybe I can still more or less get my money's worth out of them before they fall apart. (When they do, I'll update this review). My complaints are: - Inconsistent size. None of the towels are the same size (up to a 0.5" variance between individual towels), all of them were at least slightly under their advertised size of 30" x 60", and one of the towels was a full 1 inch smaller in both dimensions. (That may not seem like a lot - but it's a 5% difference in total material quantity, which is far from negligible). If there's going to be a margin of error, it should always be OVER the advertised size - *never* under. - Poor stitching. The stitching on all of the towels ranges from "okay" to "I can clearly see where they screwed this up and tried to fix it... several times." Some seams that failed to line up where they were supposed to are simply glued together with fabric adhesive (which at least seems waterproof). Others are folded over each other awkwardly and over-stitched to the point of stiffness to prevent them from coming apart. - Not lint-free. At least some of the fibers on all of these towels had detached and matted into small clumps after the first or second use, forming what was basically like super-fine laundry lint (which was initially what I thought it might be, until I thoroughly washed them again by hand and then took a closer look). It comes off easily enough with a comb or lint rake, but this means that the towels are essentially slowly disintegrating. After a few more uses, I wouldn't be surprised to find visible wear spots beginning to form shallow holes (that's if the stitching doesn't fall apart first). In short, quality control on Wise Owl products seems to be going downhill of late; unfortunately, this is not the first batch of their products about which I've had similar thoughts in recent months. Hopefully they will eventually resolve whatever manufacturing trouble is causing these issues. If anyone from Wise Owl sees this review - look into the manufacturer and/or manufacturing process for Otis gun cleaning microfiber cloths; they are thinner, lighter, more absorbent, and FAR more durable than these towels of yours. If you folks can get these up to THAT standard, it would be a game-changer.

Love the towel, great for travel but one of the loops wasn't made right and fell off immediately with our first use. Dry quick and are small when folded, large enough when using that my husband was happy with them!

Bought these to travel for one month, staying in many hostels. I wanted something lightweight that wouldn't take up much space and would dry quickly so i didn't have to put wet towels in my luggage. These are very compact, and they absorbed pretty well. Keep in mind drying yourself off does not feel as comfy as using a real plush cotton towel. It is a relatively soft fabric, but it feels more like using a paper towel or rag. Because they are so thin, they dry very quickly, which was great. However, I ordered a large size (don't remember offhand which size) thinking it would be good for wrapping around my body (I'm tall). Yes, that worked, but it was almost TOO big. It was sometimes hard to find somewhere to hang the towel to dry because it was always dragging on the ground (ew). That is probably my fault for ordering that size, though. BEST part of this item was the small rag-size towel that came with it. Great for face, using as a rag, or spot washing. In the summer when I'm not using the big towel, my boyfriend uses the small one as a sweat rag. Since it's lightweight and dries quickly, you can dunk it in cold water & wear it. Took off one star for the container of the towels. I had a hard time putting the towels away every time, i could never seem to get them to fit the way they were packed when they arrived. The carrier ripped after a couple uses, which made it worse.
