Description

Artisan Water Mixable Oil Color has been specifically developed to appear and work just like conventional oil color. The key difference between Artisan and conventional oils is its ability to thin and clean up with water. Hazardous solvents are not necessary for Artisan and artists can enjoy a safer painting environment, making it ideal for artists who share a work space, schools or painting at home. Like traditional oil color, Artisan Water Mixable Oil Color is made from linseed oil and safflower oil but the difference is the linseed oil and safflower oil used in Artisan have been modified so that they will mix and clean up with water. Titanium White is a clean white pigment. It is the most opaque white pigment and is considered a standard strong white color.

First time using oil paints and the consistency is weird also when you open it at first some oily yellow stuff comes out it feels like it's just not mixed with the paint. I have been using this product for sometime. I had previously painted with regular oil paint. I liked the paint,but I didn’t care for the odor of the thinner that was used to clean the brushes. Both the paint and the thinner were provided by the teacher. The thinner or turpentine provided was supposed to be odorless. I found some water soluble oil paint at a local store, but they only offered small starter sets. I tried one and liked it, so I began using it. I looked to Amazon and found this paint. I had used products from this brand before, so I tried them and have been using them since. I have been very happy with them.
