This desk was exactly what I wanted! I had been waiting a while for this to come back in stock. When the pandemic started, it was close to impossible to find a desk, ANY desk. People working from home seemed to snatch them all up. The desk was very easy to put together. Really, all you have to do is attach the legs, screw on 3 drawer knobs and two screws for the hutch. However, I was disappointed in how the pilot holes were drilled into the knobs completely off center. The provided screws would not go in straight. I had to get a Phillips screwdriver that had a thicker point. Also the screws that hold the front drawer together popped right off! Lastly, the back of the hutch was cracked. Luckily I had some Gorilla Glue handy, and was able to repair it. I'm not blaming the manufacturer for that as it could have happened in transport. UPDATE: I've had this great little desk for 3-years now and it is still holding up great! Because this is not made of cheap particle board, the desk surface still looks like new! I have not had to tighten the bolts that hold the legs or anything! I did get a new metallic knob for the front drawer, which helps to keep the piece that was loose together. Because it has held up so well, I changed my rating from 3 to 5! ... show more

My daughter’s room only had a small space next to a window for a desk so I searched quite a bit before stumbling upon this desk. It was the perfect size at only 30” across, but still has plenty of desk space for her. I liked that it is solid wood, and very sturdy. It seriously only took me about 15 minutes to put together and would have gone even faster if I bothered to go get my socket set instead of the enclosed wrench. You will need a small screwdriver to get the knobs on the short drawers. My only wish is this desk came in a variety of colors. The honey will work well in most places and it is nice looking, but my daughter would have preferred a distressed white, gray, etc. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

This was exactly the kind of desk I was looking for to squeeze in a small space- small, wooden, and under $100. IKEA normally is my go-to, but I didn't think they had something like this and I didn't want to take the drive to my nearest store. The shipping box for this desk is large, so have a strong person or at least two people carry it (especially up three flight of apartment stairs, like us!). Assembly was very easy for me and my husband. The top set of drawers actually does not completely secure on the larger desk piece, which is why I docked it a star. This is the perfect desk for any aspiring or current writer. Every author I've ever met or read about says the same thing. Your writing area needs to have NO DISTRACTIONS! How can you work on your story idea when your desk is covered with bills, and junk and all those things you tell yourself you should be doing instead of writing? You can't! You need a desk that is for nothing but creating your art, and this product is it! Because it's so small, you can't cover it with a bunch of junk. This desk is great. I needed a narrow desk to fit my small space. I was worried this would be too small to be comfortable but I have plenty of room for a mouse and keyboard and it is plenty deep enough for my long arms. I'm 5'8" and fit comfortably when seated. There's enough room for my 24" monitor and laptop side by side. I bought the chair to go with another desk I had originally ordered but the seller had to refund my order when the desk got stuck at customs. This was the only desk I could find that was 32" or less in width, had a little shelf for a monitor, and glowing reviews for its sturdiness. The glide to one of the drawers was not intact, so had to take it apart and properly glue and attach it. Lucky I've worked with wood a lot and knew how to fix it. The desk itself seems to be okay.
