Please read full review- very helpful! When searching for an affordable drawer system to contain my calligraphy supplies, I struggled to find one until I got to this unit. Reading the reviews, I was worried. People complained about chips, drawer issues, etc but I made the purchase anyways because I loved the look. That being said, you have to have reasonable expectations when making this purchase- that is why I enjoy the product so much! Don't expect IKEA quality for a non-IKEA price. For less than $100, this was easily one of the best purchases I've made. DELIVERY- When you first open the box, it is very daunting- there is syrofoam galore and dozens of unlabeled pieces of wood (again, with setting your expectations). The thing that I most recommend is clearly labeling your pieces with masking tape before beginning. Organize the small parts (screws, etc) in muffin tins and LABEL THEM. This will make the construction process so much easier. CONSTRUCTION- I must admit, the reviews about long construction times are legit; it took me 5 hours (but again, WORTH IT, and I screwed everything by hand). The diagrams that come with are lacking, but not nearly as bad as some other reviews claim them to be. They give you enough instructions to complete the unit, although it will definitely take you a minute or 30 to get a sense of what the diagram is having you look at. I would recommend using an electric drill or a ratchet to make the process go quicker, as there are many screws. I had no missing parts DRAWER- The drawers take the longest to make, as there are 7 of them and each drawer has easily 20 parts to it but once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. Be careful to put the drawer rails/guides correctly on the drawers- I messed up and it took me a while to fix. Many of the bad reviews come from the user making this mistake. The drawers once constructed CORRECTLY slide very smoothly and are not slow or loose at all (see VIDEO). The other reviews talking about the drawers falling out are due to user error- not the drawers' fault. OUTSIDES- The outsides of the drawers are thin but not at all flimsy. I have no issues with bending or instability. "BAD" THINGS- I ended up not putting the wheels on the bottom of the unit because the screws that are said to attach the wheels to the unit are too big for the holes that you're supposed to put them into. That wasn't a problem for me, as my intention for this unit is for it to remain stationary. Just be aware of that if you're looking for this to be mobile. There were two screws that I didn't use that attached the top of the unit to the sides due to another fitting issue, but there are small dowels included that did the trick just fine. The drawers do not go all the way to the back of the unit, so the drawer lengths are not the same as the unit's length. For reference, the drawers fit two mason jars stacked on top of one another (laying flat of course, as seen in the video). There were VERY FEW chips, and they were not very noticeable. OVERALL- Set your expectations. Label your parts. Be patient. Very successful purchase, I HIGHLY recommend!

Love this storage cabinet with 4 inch depth easy gliding drawers. However, when I filled it with items, the plastic rollers stressed under the weight. I replaced the rollers with steel rollers and now it's perfect.

So before I purchased this item, I was really skeptical because I always read reviews and this product had a lot of bad ones. But I decided to go through with my order anyways because I know some people are just really picky with extremely high standards,and I have been looking for one of these for a long time for a decent price. So the package came one day late (I didn't mind, things happen) and I immediately opened it as soon as the mail man dropped it off. As I was unpacking all the pieces, everything was in pretty decent shape! Yes a couple bumps and chips on the wood like I saw in previous reviews (but what can you expect, it's cheep wood for gosh sakes). The instructions weren't very easy to read/understand(no words just pictures), but if you're pretty observant and have even a slight IQ you can figure it out. I'm a 23 year old woman and I've never built anything in my life. I was able to put this thing together in a few hours with little to no help. There is a lot of pieces, so it is sort of timely (hence, it took a few hours). But I honestly thought the quality was pretty decent once it was put together! The drawers are held very sturdy. And the presentation is actually beautiful! (Idk why people were saying the drawers fall out cause definitely don't). I'd definitely recommend this product to either people trying to save a little money, or someone who is just getting started like myself. Overall, I'd say this is an awesome product and I'm happy with my purchase! *If you're a mid-aged wife who wants everything to look perfect, this product isn't for you. There is slight damage in the wood and it chips while you're screwing the screws in. They have a similar version at IKEA which is probably heavier duty with a little better presentation. ***update, 3 years later, 7/7/20. I didn't realize this comment would be such a hit, or that people would even see it lol. Please excuse younger me, I was only trying to make it more clear who this product was most ideal for. Anyways, I STILL have this product, and it's still in great shape! All the drawers are still intact, and it has little to no scratches or nicks in the wood. The white color does not even seem faded or yellowish. I still highly recommend this product. I've had great luck with it! Thanks for reading :)

This is a great substitute for the Alex Nine from IKEA and was significantly cheaper when I purchased it. The instructions were a tad hard to find (they ended up being really folded deep in a box with some nails - I searched for a bit before realizing it). My pieces arrived exactly on time, with zero damaged or missing pieces. Instructions were definitely a bit hard to follow (especially which orientation some of the screws needed to be placed in - they’re incredibly tiny in the diagram and you can’t make out which side is which) but I was eventually able to figure it out. It took 4 hours (straight through) to build which isn’t terrible. The drawers slide easily and fit easily into their spots. The depth and size of the drawers make it perfect for storage of makeup or other items (paper, arts and crafts items, etc). The overall appearance is very nice and I am extremely pleased with how this came out. It is a tiny bit wobbly (not significantly so, but what you’d expect from a piece of self constructed furniture). Overall I would recommend this item to someone looking for a nice, relatively cheap, item for storage, which is why I gave this 5 stars - this was exactly what I wanted and perfect for me. Would not recommend to someone looking for a 100% perfect item, an expensive looking item, or something that comes to you premade. You get what you pay for (but this beat out all of my expectations tbqh). Good: Compact and inexpensive. Good finishes. Looks good in place. Not so good: Fasteners cannot be installed with power drivers, the particle board is too weak. Diagrams/instructions are small. No text. I read all the reviews before buying. I decided that most problems described could be avoided, and I took the plunge. I also decided that once built, I would lock the casters and make it a fixed cabinet, and that I would use it for light items only. It arrived quickly in fine condition. I sorted the parts and got out the tools. I think it would be easy to tear out a screw or anchor hole if you used an electric driver. So I decided to use only a hand screwdriver (Phillips with interchangeable bits), a soft mallet and a millimeter ruler. When complete, the unit was fine with no damage or weakness. The drawers are level and flush with the front and work very well. I think anyone that has built particle board furniture before can easily do this if they take care and invest the time. But be ready for the small diagrams as instructions - there is no text. There are a lot of panels and drawer runners, and many screws and anchors. For those so inclined, it would be easy to reinforce the drawer bottoms and put angle brackets on the back of the unit to make the cabinet more rigid. I've only had it a few days, and I rate it a 5 primarily for attractiveness, and high utility at low cost.

Product arrived with a damaged box.When i opened the box-luckily none of the wooden pieces were damaged so no cosmetic damage that you could see which was what i was hoping for. But the Hardware on the other hand was damaged. The cabinet rails were extremely bent and the white paint chipped.at on end of the rail it was flattened out so you could not slide the cabinet rail into it. I was highly disappointed with the way it was packaged. The hardware was not secured and looked like it was just thrown in the box and it was moving all over the box and where the box was damaged was where the hardware was and whatever happened is what cause the damage to the hardware.It was either return the entire product or order replacement parts directly from Winsome Halifax which would have taken a week to receive so i decided to fix it myself with the help of a vise,hammer and pliers. I was able to fix it to a point where it was "Functional" and didnt have to be bothered with returns and waiting periods. The assembly was a headache. None of the parts were labeled or number so following the instructions was not very helpful since they were not labeled. You pretty much gotta have patience and some brain power to spare because you can not just grab part A and attach it to Part B since no parts were labeled. Other than that the final product is very nice and sturdy.that im happy about. The casters are a good addition as you can move it around without having to actually drag or lift it. I would recommend the 7-drawer over the 5 if you have an office. the drawers fill up quick if you have a lot of things like office supplies or electronic components.Perfect for an office. This product is a lot better than the Ikea version at a better price. Overall I would Recommend it as long as it ships safely. 3-Stars rating given for the following: (To the manufacturer:) PLEASE label your parts and make it easier for people to assemble PLEASE package/secure your hardware better so all the parts wont get damaged during transit.

**HONEST AND YEAR LONG REVIEW** I purchased the 5 drawer set (1st pic) a year ago during the first shut down and it actually held up pretty good considering I use this as a night stand/makeup storage. I decided to get the 7 drawer set (2nd pic) as well so I can store my makeup and nail products in and solely use the shorter one as a night stand. I chose these because I wanted Alex drawers, but Ikea doesn’t ship to Hawai’i and these seemed to be the best alternative for my situation. I’ve seen reviews about how “cheaply made” these are, but obviously they’re from Amazon so you shouldn’t have too high of hopes that they’ll be top quality. They’re made of compressed wood and have held up great for a year’s worth of daily use. A few things I do want to note: 1) if you are purchasing these as an Alex drawer dupe, don’t expect them to be the same dimensions. After receiving them I realized that these drawers are wider (19.25” W x 16” D). Alex drawers are more narrow (14.125” W x 22.875” D according to Google). 2) When ordering from Amazon, keep in mind that your package may have a few dings. My box arrived completely fine, but there is a small chip on the top piece (3rd pic) 3) Some screw holes are a bit crooked which does make the drawers appear unevenly spaced, but in my case it doesn’t affect how the drawers pulls out. 4) They’re fairly easy to clean. I just wipe the surface with a clorox wipe and makeup stains go away. Because they’re made of compressed wood, I wouldn’t suggest leaving a drink directly on top to where it’ll leave water stains. Overall, these drawers are great for their purpose. Don’t expect high quality, but do expect for them to last you a good while.

READ: This product, while doing what it describes, is overall not very high quality, and is difficult to construct. The tolerances they allow in the manufacturing of the parts creates sizeable gaps in the furniture and inconsistent drawer spacing. If you're looking for something that is easy to build and results in a quality product, start looking for something else. It's cheap and it works, so if that's all you're looking for...then I guess this works. The build process is described in some written detail in the manual, but it's not enough written detail. You MUST follow not just the writing, but the pictures to the exact T. They do not tell you how to differentiate between left and right rails or label them at all. You are left with 28 rails you have to sort through for left, right, inner, and outer. If you get it wrong, you have to unscrew all of them and replace them. And not only do you have to follow the pictures, but you have to follow pictures that don't even match the parts. The rails in the pictures have a different number of holes and shapes than the rails they provide, so you just have to infer that you have the right one from context clues essentially. We also had two screws cause splitting the fiber board despite manually screwing them in straight down slowly. Some of the holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled were entirely absent as well. Generally for the average person, putting this together will be pretty difficult. I would strongly recommend a team of two detail oriented people to put this together. You will need screwdrivers with multiple Philips bits and a metric ruler. Also, the wheels stick and don't roll around easily. They do roll, and the locks work, but again they aren't of quality. The gaps, the poor build quality, and the painful construction process make this drawer unit less than desirable. It's not worthless...it works...but now you know what you're getting yourself into when you buy this. It does seem to be reasonably sturdy, but the top came off when I first tried moving it and I had to retighten the bolts. Oh, and good luck returning it if you decide you can't assemble it or don't want it anymore. It weighs 60 pounds and is packed in such a way that you would have to completely disassemble any progress you managed to make to get it back into the original box.
