I purchased this item after receiving a complaint about my three dogs barking during the day; I bought a long screen and cut it into 3 pieces to install on the chain link gate and fence along my driveway. It looks nice and has cut way down on the barking problem. You can see through it a little, but it obscures visibility enough to work well for the dogs. The edges that I cut may fray a bit over time, I just rolled them and zip-tied through the fabric, so we'll see. The cut edges are in low-traffic areas so I think it will be fine. Only two minor complaints on quality: 1) The edges are bound and have grommets, which is great, but the grommets are far apart and very unevenly spaced. I solved the problem by simply pushing the zip-ties through the fabric, so it wasn't a big deal. 2) The screen was actually a couple of inches too tall for my 4-foot high fence. I wanted the fabric to be taut against the fence, so I folded up the bottom edge and again zip-tied through the fabric. No big deal, and it looks fine in the end. ... show more

After lots of videos and researching reviews here I decided with this black privacy screen. I was working on this alone so I had to formulate a plan in steps. So, first I trimmed the hedges along the fence. Second, I had to cut all branches pushing through the fence. This was the most arduous part of the project! I needed a cordless saw, a branch cutter and a good set of gloves and persistence . I had to make sure that the hedges could be pushed away from the fence to allow the screen to slip between the two. Then, I had to start on one end and work along the top edge all the way to the other end of the fence. It is important to pull tight as you install and secure to the fence so it doesn't sag. Then, I went back to the beginning and repeated the process for the lower edge of the screen. There was about 3 feet extra at one end that I folded in on itself to not have to cut it which might create fraying in the future. After this, I decided to trim the hedges at the bottom where the screen doesn't conceal. I did this to prevent any leaves or branches from growing back through. I then cleaned out all the leaves that accumulated under the hedges after several years. This also aids in wind circulation along the bottom. Finally, I noticed that in the daylight one screen is not enough for acceptable privacy. So, I installed a green screen on the inside of the fence also. This was a lot easier to do since nothing was in the way! Overall, I think it came out pretty good. It took me about a week to complete as I did it mostly after work consecutively about 2 hours each day. Note: You may need a lot more tie wraps than you think. I used about 250 tie wraps. So, just order about 300 6-inch tie wraps. Final comment. Cleanup after trimming was the most back breaking part of the whole project and sweating profusely here in Miami! So, maybe get a few people to come over for some BBQ and beers in exchange for their help! Now moving on to those wooden fence boards! ... I'll let you know how that goes in the near future. This is perfect for my needs. I have 2 small dogs that dash out and bark at everything (new house, new challenges!). I cannot change the fence, so I bought this instead. I chose 30 feet in length and then doubled the one end/trouble spot (neighbor has a new puppy that really makes them crazy). This is not a direct property line, so there is distance between our fence and the attention catching puppy. The new privacy screen is perfect! They can no longer see the puppy and only run out when their hear louder passersby (not often). We went from 20 times per day to once or twice a day. HUGE difference! I also liked that the color of the screen was a darker green than the photo - much better blending into the grass than the kelly green would have been. I'm back for one shorter one to hit another small "hot spot" and enjoy the ensuing peace! ... show more

Smoke Caution *** The very first thing I noticed when opening the package is the overwhelming smoke aroma. The item smells like it was recovered from a fire or a tobacco plant. If you have a respiratory condition do not open indoors. I unfolded and allowed it to air out a few days before handling. Size: I ordered 4'x50' and it’s pretty true to size. I may have gotten more stretch of I had someone helping me. Color: The brown is a chocolate and black weave. Weight: The screen is very light weight and easy for one person to manage. I unfolded and rolled it like carpet to make the install manageable. Privacy/Visibility: As you can see in photos the screen blocks the view through the warped wood pickets. Durability: The fabric stretched without tearing during install. I was worried the road bushes would snag the fabric, but they didn’t. Install process. I tried staples as suggested but they didn’t stay in place. I decided to us washers and wood screws (see pics) and the install went perfectly! I was able to stretch and pull the screen one handed while attaching with the other. Took less than 30 minutes from setup to install. I plan to purchase another for the side fence. ... show more

I ordered these to block the view of our rear neighbors yard (which is a tad weed ridden and messy looking), and they more than deliver the privacy and look we were looking for. So much so, I ordered some for the rest of our fencing! They are comprised of a pretty dense weave, so you can barely see through them, which I also love! These Windscreens are quick and easy to install (just know you need to order your own zip ties--as they don't come with). I would go with the 10" heavy duty zip ties, as they're much easier to manipulate when you're dealing with long fence lines like ours. I originally ordered the 8", which worked fine, but became more challenging when working along the bottom of the fence line. The material is durable, yet wind friendly, with trimmed edges that provide more durability on really windy days. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a quick, fairly priced, and easy way to gain privacy. ... show more
