But he gave it a try and now he’s on it every moment he is home. He reads books, while he zooms around the house on it. We recite homework while he’s on it. Got this as a Christmas present and it worked great until one day it went nuts and bucked my kid off. Then proceeded to do doughnuts at max speed in the middle of the room. I tackled it down and got whacked in the knee with it. 2 weeks later, I'm still bruised and annoyed. I held it until the battery died. It was dramatic. I'm sure this sounds amusing to read, but it wasn't fun. And what's worse, the company didn't make it right. So that's a treat. I ordered two of these and both of them stank terribly of cigarettes when they arrived! I don’t know how a hard object like this could absorb so much smell but they sure did. Came in two separate shipments and both took a good while to air out. Got them for Christmas and both are already cracked in spots without excessive wear and tear. I bought two, one for each kid. One blue one pink. The pink unit had battery problems straight out of the box. So it was sent back, the replacement worked for a few days then had some kind of short, some lights worked but only while plugged in, so it was sent back. The blue one still works perfectly no problem and it has been more than a month. So I sent the second pink one back and got a third, so far the third is working perfectly.
