Description

Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. WILD HEARTS™ is a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op. No one remembers why the Kemono began their rampage through a once prosperous Azuma. Fueled by desperation, these giant beasts wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive. For a while, it seemed that none could stand against their overwhelming might. But hope arrives in the form of a formidable hunter, armed with deadly weapons and ancient technology called Karakuri that could turn the tide of battle. Developed by Omega Force, the Japanese studio behind the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise, WILD HEARTS takes you on an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan. The hunt begins February 17, 2023.

  • Great game!
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
This is a great game. There are many weapons to choose from and they are all fun to use. Character customization is really good too. The graphics are great, vibrant colors and highly detailed areas. It’s on par with Monster Hunter if you are familiar and like that game.

  • Amazing at the wrong time
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
I love the game, it has enough complexity that you could probably just change weapons and have a whole new experience. My issue was that if you are under geared you die way too fast for my liking with how fast the Kemono move while in combat, also I've been a little burned out recently on video games so that's where the wrong time comes in along with all the bugs that people were experiencing at launch on the PC port, ps5 runs fine though if a bit choppy in certain areas. ... show more

  • Must-play for fans of monster hunting games
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
I've put over 1,500 hours into the Monster Hunter series and several hundred more hours into other games in the genre, like Ragnarok Odyssey, Freedom Wars and the Toukiden series. Each game adds something the genre needed and thus makes the next entry in the genre better than the last. While this game isn't perfect, it feels like a spiritual successor to Toukiden (a game I already felt was better than Monster Hunter proper, in most regards) which was a criminally underrated game. The character creator is the most thorough and graphically impressive one I've played on a game in a while. The amount of customization also extends to your armor as you have the standard sets, a Human variant and a Kemono variant...all three of which allow color grading. The combat feels polished and the advent of the Karukuri system of gadgets is a welcome change. On the surface it could look like a Fortnite-esque building system in a monster hunting game...and one could indeed reduce it to that, but it would be a great disservice to the game to limit it to such a basic description. Without going into too much detail, the world and battle system revolves around this building system and it just works--not always flawlessly, but enough of the time to feel like it belongs here. I still haven't even touched on the passive ability/talent system that blows everything the other games in the genre had in the area out of the water. In short, get this game if you like the genre. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Really fun game!
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
Wild Hearts is similar to Monster Hunter but with much better controls and faster movement. If you find Monster Hunter to hard or confusing WH is easier to play. The building mechanics are a lot of fun and unique. If you like action rpgs I highly recommend it.

  • More fun than monster hunter, if you're not a fan of MH.....
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
Never been a fan of the Monster Hunter series. But, I read this game was more accessible to folks who found MH convoluted and overly complicated. I agree with this. I am having more fun with this game than with MH. However, this game has many issues that keep it from being a great game. Enemy tracking is by far my biggest gripe. It's terrible. I think the developers made it this way to force players to utilize the conjuring mechanic, but in the heat of battle, it's really noticable and not at all fair-- especially with flying beasts (looking at you Fumebeak). Another issue I have is similar to issues I have with Monster Hunter, in which the game has a certain expectation of your knowhow and skills. I still have no idea how to tell how much thread I have at any given moment. I go into battle just hoping I have enough. Your avatar's movement is also very annoying while in battle. Running and dodging seems hit-or-miss, especially with enemy tracking so messed up. My L3 stick is aching from all the constant down presses with countless attempts to avoid attacks that will always hit you. All-in-all, the comabt is very frustrating, players with little experience with monster hunter games will likely have a tough time. But, as I mentioned, I am having more fun with it than any MH game I've played. ... show more

  • Spanish writing on front/back covers but still works on US PS5
Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition: Standard
Ok I had my worries after I popped in the disc and saw the game's front and back cover were all in Spanish but the game still ran fine. I downloaded the free trial demo and this disc unlocked the full version as intended on my US PS5 and the game's text and audio were still in English. One thing tho that's kinda suspicious is that it makes my PS5 beep several times everytime I load the game then I recently read an article about fake CDR versions being sold on Amazon. Not sure if this is one but the game has been running fine for over a week so I'm happy ... show more
