For reference, he is 6 ft, 230 lbs with wide calves, spider veins, varicose veins, and occasional foot swelling, and most compression socks are too tight at the top. These actually fit comfortably without digging in, which is hard to find. He spends long hours on his feet and often deals with leg pressure and tired, swollen feet, and these noticeably help him feel more comfortable by the end of the day. The 15–20 mmHg compression feels supportive without being overly tight, so he can wear them all day. The fabric feels like a breathable nylon-spandex blend with a smooth, stretchy texture. They’re medium thickness, supportive but still comfortable inside regular shoes. The wide-calf design is the biggest advantage — the top band stays up without rolling or squeezing the leg. Finally a compression sock for a wide calf that doesn't have a really long foot or squeeze too much in unhelpful places. It's even compression from the ankle up, the way it's supposed to be, I don't have to adjust the legs once I get them the way I want them, they stay exactly how I put them on in the morning (except for the soles.) The only reason I gave 4 stars is the material. I just don't like socks with no cotton or wool in them, these do not feel great on my soles after a full day, and the foot requires adjustment for it to be tolerable, it's really too thin to be walking on all day. But I am generally very picky and my skin prefers natural fibers. These are perfect for my days off, as long as I'm not walking and standing all day I forget they're on for the most part.
