Description

Vinyl LP pressing. 2010 release from the Southern California Indie Pop band. Wander into the sweltering Cali smog to find yourself transported into a lysergic Pop netherworld, where White Fence carves broad strokes of color into your mind. Coming on like Love in a Lollipop Shoppe, or Chris Knox abusing a Vox, the record oscillates between a sun-dappled English meadow, a crumbling SoCal suburban bedroom, and a riotous Sunset Strip leather gang knife fight, with the kind of warped precision and purity that distinguishes the wolves from the sheep and the profound from the pretend in this instant online age.

What, no reviews? I had to speak out on behalf of a great album
I've never done a review on Amazon before, but seeing no reviews of this album, I had to finally write one! Having discovered this album last April 2010, it's become one of my very favorites. A soundtrack of my summer, and beyond. I learned about it from a piece in the New York Times by Ben Ratliff, at [...], and he really captures its essence. I'm so glad I found this low-fi gem. Poor audio quality but fantastic music
Mr Presley records his records in his bedroom on a little four track recorder. Although the techniques are primitive the music is the best. This review applies to all the White Fence records, but I can't be bothered retyping it.
