I use this primarily for whisky drinks but will find other uses. I'm thinking about adding smoke flavor to cheeses and meats. The only issue with this is that the wood has been treated and could produce harmful gasses if the flame scorches the smoker. On the plus side, the metal basket is heavy and sturdy, and did not allow the flame to contact the wood at all when I lit the chips. I don't expect to have any problems in this area. The diameter of the smoker is just enough to cover a typical glass. It won't work on a larger rim but I don't need it to. I like this one a lot as it has a low profile and can travel easily when I want to take it with me. It came with four flavors of wood chips and a cleaning brush. The packaging was simple but elegant, suitable for a gift. This was surprisingly affordable for such a nice piece. Didn’t know something like this existed. Went to a speak easy and had an ol fashion and they smoked it. Found this on on Amazon. I already had the torch so all I needed was the smoke unit. Works great.
