This product worked very well for me however I would not call it winter weight I would call it fall weight... Adding a supplemental blanket over the top of it significantly increases its ability to maintain heat and if you use something that will let moisture through like wool it really makes a great addition then you don't get sweaty under the covers... yuck

First Impressions: The smell. Very light chemical smell that made my air purifier turn red. The thickness of the blanket isn’t very impressive either. Hopefully washing it will help a bit with both the smell and the thickness. I would definitely use this only as an insert with a cover because it’s not the softest either. I will update my review after sleeping with it. Edit: Changed my review to four stars. The smell did fade and it did fluff up a bit. It still isn’t the most full or fluffy insert but for the price it definitely serves its purpose.

For the cost, great comforter. Yes it will smrll funny and be flat after shipping. I could be fuller. But a wash and dry with dryer balls and it works stuffed into a duvet.

This blanket is so big! It’s fluffy, heavy, and the cotton is smooth and cool to the touch. My only complaint is that feathers poke out is the fabric fairly easy. I had to get a duvet cover to protect us from getting poked by feathers. Update 1/3/25: I wanted to love this, but we had to get rid of it. The feathers were too much and messy. Even with a duvet cover. I also think the feathers triggered some allergies. I’m sad that it didn’t work out and that I wasted money on this purchase. Lesson learned. :(

The feathers also are a factor for the fluff; it won’t be as fluffy as others bc others use polyester as stuffing this does not. But I like the material, wash it of course to soften it so it won’t be too loud even with a duet cover
