  • High quality shelving and hardware
Size: 4 Shelves,Included Planks
As an FYI I have spray painted the hardware from black to copper and painted the shelves white. For this reason the unit doesn’t look as pictured by Amazon. These shelves are really great and versatile. I ordered 2 sets of shelves for my open concept kitchen. Once I constructed the shelves I knew they would be too big for my kitchen and had to deconstruct both units to a smaller size to fit. This is pretty easy to do. Some of the pieces are impossible to tighten when piecing together becaue all bars must face perpendicular and at 90 degree angles.. The instructions say that you don't need to tighten the screw in/connecting parts for the unit to be sturdy. I was a dubious that this would not be true, but it was. You just need to secure the wall until correctly. Once I constructed the unit I realized it would be too large for my kitchen. I took out shelving and hardware to make it fit, and I still love how it looks. I used the leftover hardware, and was able to make an interesting single shelf that is a little different from the others, but uniform enough to match. The piping is 3/4, which makes it even more sturdy, and aesthetically is great. I bought 2 similar piping pieces at Menards because I needed a deeper shelf. Their hardware was only 1/2 inch, and one if the pieces was bent and not level. I recommend this shelving as high quality, easy to assemble and very versatile. ... show more

  • As Advertised
Size: 2 Pcs 4Tier Hardware only
I ❤️ these! I purchased a set for myself and my husband that we used to frame a large window in our bedroom. I have a desk on my side so I have 3 shelves while he has 5. We got the wood for the shelves from a local home improvement store and used a white stain. They're perfect and look great!

  • Good but difficult to hang
Size: 2 Pcs 4Tier Hardware only
I had a space in my kitchen that had some poorly applied masonry and wanted to cover it up rather than tear the whole thing down. This shelving unit fit the space perfectly. It looks nice and is well made. My only gripe is that it’s rather difficult to install. The pipes are a bit heavy and difficult to secure in place. Granted the spot I was putting them in created a good amount of challenge, but the weight an awkwardness of the pipes did make it harder. That said, all is well that ends well. It looks good and does what I wanted it to do. ... show more

  • Not Standard Pipe Wall Thickness - but Doesn't have to Be. Looks Great!
Size: 2 Pcs 4Tier Hardware only
Realizing I can get piping at HomeDepot, I priced the individual pieces out. About double the cost with HD! Granted, this material is lighter weight, but plenty strong for shelving. That, and you don't have to degrease, clean and paint these, because it's already finished (sort of a brush, matte black look). I installed two sets: 1) Large system taking up a 10'x7' wall; and 2) A 6-shelf 48" wide system. I used 2x10" boards from HD, sanded/stained - they look great! Both are ceiling mounts to give the floor a clean, spacious look. Installation is a little tricky, because you have to connect the pipes as you go; and sometimes, the combination of threading, leveling and getting things snug just makes it a bit cumbersome to work with. My first installation was a learning experience. My 2nd one went a lot quicker, smoother and perfectly level and straight. Here's my suggestion (for ceiling mount as presented with the product): 1) Determine your shelving configuration (spacing, count of shelves, etc) 2) Measure and mark 11.75" between the wall and the center of a flange. The center hole of the flange makes this easy. Repeat for each vertical pipe you're planning. I installed support braces in the attic, but I think you can get by with 2 screws hitting a joist (must-have) and 2 with anchors. 3) Install your first set of vertical pipes screwing it in all the way snugly, as well as your T joint afterwards. Keep in mind, you may have to settle for slightly loose as the threads make it a guessing game. If you're about 1/4 turn shy, you can safely force it a quarter turn, so keep that in mind. 4) After you get the first set of horizontal pipes in, check the level and adjust (screw in/out accordingly). For this step, I screwed the wall plate on first, and gently pulled the vertical bar away from the wall as I twisted the flange flat with the wall. 5) Create equal distance between the ceiling/wall flange and an adjacent wall. This is now your baseline for the remaining flanges - and as long as you use the already leveled edge of the blue tape, everything will install nice and level/even (minus the variance of manufacturing tolerances). 6) Use blue-tape to create a vertically level line from the edge of the wall flange. Use the tape as the baseline for subsequent levels. - Temporarily position each wall flange, mark the anchor holes and twist out of the way. - Install the anchors and twist the flange back, and screw in. 7) As you install each segment, check the levelness and adjust accordingly (i.e. screw the pipe in/out, but make sure you have enough threads for strength. Don't forget to check horizontal and vertical. 8) Don't mind the few, unavoidable loose sections as the weight of the planks will keep things from rattling/moving. * Keep in mind, pipes and the style/method of threading isn't designed for ultra-precision, so you'll have to make some concessions when you're adjusting - knowing that once everything is installed, very few will be able to tell anything, unless they're informed. ... show more
