I love the weight and feel of this paddle, and the control you get. It’s true that you won’t achieve effortless power and control as you would with a $250 paddle, but as you improve your game from beginner, or even as a beginner, it’s still a very good paddle. You have power ability that requires a little more effort than you would need from a high priced paddle. But in a way this is a good thing as it keeps you honest and disciplined in footwork. Not a terrible paddle for the price. As you can see from the photos, the packaging and presentation of the product is pretty nice. You get the paddle, 2 sets of grip, 2 sets of end tape, and a paddle cover. For the price I paid for the paddle (~$22 after applying a 15% discount code), I think it's decent. Keep in mind, I'm a beginner to pickleball with a history of tennis. Here's the details: - What you get: As mentioned, the packaging is good, but what you get feels a bit lacking. I personally feel like this set is more for beginners so if they had included at least 2 balls, that would have been nice. For other sets in the same price range (per paddle), you will at least get some balls and another paddle which allows you to play right away after unboxing. - Paddle Quality: The surface is textured, but has more of a peppered grittiness to it vs being consistently textured throughout the face. Compared to other paddles within this price range or even paddles twice the price, the surface texture definitely is still better since most other paddles just have an entirely flat/ smooth surface. So although the textured surface is not the best, it's also not the worst and will still contribute to better ball control and spin. - Design: All measurements are standard so you can expect the feel to be similar to the majority of other paddles. The weight is around 8.5oz and the handle is just right for small to medium sized hands. For individuals with larger hands, the handle may be slightly uncomfortable due to its size. The paddle face is also thinner, so there's a slight disadvantage for ball controll since there's less force absorption. The power is okay, it doesn't generate as much as I would like, but still provides a comfortable and solid playing experience for a beginner. - Appearance: Towards the bottom of the face, there are cutouts to resemble fox eyes, which look great. I'm not sure if the cutouts actually contribute at all to the overall performance of the paddle so it may just be clearly for aesthetics. TLDR: This is a decent paddle set for beginners. I'm not sure if intermediate players would get much out of this, but for beginners wanting to step up from entry level paddles, this is a good start. The feel is good, the surface has texture and some grittiness to it, and the paddle looks great. ... show more

I ordered 5 paddles of various cost thru Amazon-put this one in my basket as a fluke because it was so cheap…and it’s the one I kept. I like the weight and get a lot of fun comments about it. I’m not sure uts USPA approved tho, doesn’t indicate that on the item. The groups that I play in are non-tournament so it’s fine. ... show more

Love the width at 8 inches as it helps close to the net. I wish it were bit longer but you can’t have everything at this price. Very solid and has a nice pop with control and power. Grip is very comfortable. I am a 3.0 player so for now I’m really happy with it.
