This lip stain is very watery- It’s very hard to apply because of that. The applicator has no sponge or plush. The color is a blood red, but it doesn’t last long. It is not sticky and has no taste. But it is a bit messy when you’re pulling out the applicator, the red will splash out. I was not a fan of this product.

I have long been a fan of Wet n Wild's Fantasy Maker line, and almost every year, I buy a product from this line to use outside of Halloween. That being said, this makes a great Halloween product, but I wouldn't say it's a lip stain you'll want to use outside of cosplay. This is a very thin lip color. I do not like the applicator at all. It's made out of silicone, and it's extremely hard to load up with product. The lip stain just drips off the applicator, and I ended up with it on my mirror and vanity top. It is also hard to use it to apply product neatly to your lips. The product tends to drip and bleed while you are attempting to keep it to your lips, and you do need to apply several coats. That being said, the negatives can be positives when it comes to cosplay makeup. It makes a great substitute for fake blood, and can be flicked so it really does resemble natural spatter. If you are doing a vampire lip, you do want it to look like you have just consumed a meal, something that does not leave a precise line. This does not have the thick, jelly-like texture of most fake blood products, and it cleans up easily without leaving any stains. The shape of the applicator is great for making fake fang marks. The only negative when it comes to cosplay is how easily this stain does come off. I found it wearing off as I drank a soda, leaving blood-like residue on the can. I am not sure using this someplace other than on your lips would survive a walk in the rain. Like all Wet n Wild products, this lip stain is very affordable and an excellent buy. If you are looking for a lip stain to wear every day, this is probably not what you want. But if you are looking for a product to emulate realistic blood for cosplay, this excels. The negatives when it comes to everyday wear become positives when using this for cosplay.

Wet n Wild is one of those drugstore makeup brands that has been around forever. Even though the products are inexpensive they always manage to appeal to people of all ages. They, of course, managed to hit the target with this lip stain. I got this in the color Vampire's Bite is blood red, which fits the gothic vampire theme they seem to be going for with most of this Halloween line. I do mean blood red when I say blood red. I managed to knock the container over after opening it. The napkin I used to clean it up looked like... well you can see what it looks like. If you know, you know lol. So yeah, this is not your typical viscous lip product. It is, in fact, extremely watery and not at all sticky. It does not have a scent, at least not that I can tell. I swatched it on my hand, where it dried fairly quickly and tasted through many handwashings that day. Thankfully it did not stain my desk, though it is a darker brown. I'm not sure what it would do to white fabric or a white table. I would wear this color all year round, not just for Halloween. I love that. The price sure is right as well.

This was a miss for me. First, the applicator doesn't even have a sponge...just a slanted piece of plastic. The stain itself is very light and the color doesn't last long at all. Not smell, taste is a bit chemical like. This was a big miss for me.

The media could not be loaded. Perhaps the coolest thing about this lip stain is seeing the liquid ooze up and down the sides of the bottle, truly in Halloween fashion. The wand has a silicon-like tip, and as such, it does NOT hold the liquid well, and it will drip and stain your sink - or wherever you're standing to apply this stain. The stain is very liquidic. To have a finished look, you'll likely need to use a lip pen if you want a crisp line and not uneven edges (see photo). The stain itself is a bold red. It's not sticky, not moisturizing, but has decent longevity. It will come off with a napkin or as you eat. I did not notice any particular smell to this stain; however, it does have a VERY BITTER taste if you should be so unlucky as to lick your lips every now and then.

They weren’t kidding with the name—“stain” and “Vampire’s Bite” are spot on. That said, it’s not something I’d wear casually or daily. It’s not nearly as intense as some others, but for the price, I'd go for it. I feel like it's really only suited for Halloween or theatrical looks. Great for its intended use, but not very versatile.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this lip stain! Despite its unserious name (Halloween Fantasy?) this is definitely a legitimate, long lasting lip product that I could see myself using on a daily basis. The product in the tube is very thin and watery, and accordingly the applicator is a flat, pointed spatula, not something I've seen before. You sort of pat the product on your lips and it immediately begins to dry down to a beautiful fall-coded red shade. I had no trouble maneuvering the spatula applicator around the contours of my lips. The finish is extremely lightweight and more matte. In the photo I'm wearing chapstick over it, which I applied at least 30 minutes after letting the product fully dry on my lips-- and notably, none of the product rubbed off onto the chapstick. When I kissed a napkin very little transferred. I'm sure eating a greasy pizza will cause some of this to come off but generally I would say it's quite long lasting. I'm not noticing any strange taste or smell, either. Overall, don't be afraid by the niche name -- this "Halloween Fantasy" stain is definitely for everyday!
