1st off, sizing charts. Amazon lists 1 set, Westt site is slightly different AND that difference will put you from 1 size to another. I am a solid 56cm,,,Amazon site suggests Medium,,,Westt is a Small. I am typically a size small in helmets so went with getting a small. Arrived super fast & in great condition from Amazon! 2nd, Out of the box, tag easy to see , marked as 2022 Production, so fresh helmet! Finish appears to be a solid 10 of 10, All vents work properly (so far). Visor clicks & stays in all positions.(so far). Haven't noticed any blems in paint or decals. 3rd, the fit. It's definitely a snug to put on helmet and that's EXACTLY what's needed. SNUG does NOT MEAN too tight!! At least for me, as all helmet padding breaks in & compresses with use. But with that being said, once it's on, this helmet feels very nice! Sits aligned on head ear pockets are even and roomy. Wore around house for awhile to see if any pressure points popped up, but didn't have any (so far). Temps are finally reaching 90 degrees here in Indiana , and I ride behind a full windscreen, so not expecting much in the way of a "cool helmet" with huge air flow, but have been riding for 30 plus years so nothing I'm not expecting to be different. I do plan on installing an internal headset speaker system and not expecting any fit issues, but will update if I do have any. Overall it appears to be a good beginner / spare helmet, although this will become my daily worn helmet. The only deducted star would be that this particular helmet is VERY squeeky !! The slightest pull on lower part as you put it on produces ALOT of plastic squeeks . Its a minor issue for me as most sub 200$ lids will have some kind of tradeoff. Maybe its just this one helmet, who knows. Now they just need to make tinted outer visors!! ... show more

Well first time it was ordered waited a week just for it to be returned because it was damaged 2nd week the sent me a medium when I ordered a xl now waiting for a 3rd week to get a helmet I ordered..... Went off the size chart said it was a xl when they sent me a medium I tried it on and to be honest I think a large would fit ok but guess I'll just have to wait even longer sucks but is what it is ... show more

I have not ridden with it yet, but have been checking it out. It has eveything it should have (clicks to hold mask up and shields), etc. Only little thing so far is the end of strap where it was fused melted, it can cut scrape your ears if it gets in the way.

So I've had it for a few days, there's some good. There's some bad. I'm coming from an HJC i10, which is a bit more expensive but not by much. Price, I put it in my cart at 85, waited to get paid, and then watched it go to 100. In my opinion it's only worth the 85. Feature, you get a chin guard and quick release buckle. That's not really mentioned in the listing. Very nice. Fit: It squeezes on the cheeks a bit too much while not going around the bottom of my head much at all. I know DOT rating does not care about neck, but it wouldn't hurt to at least try and take some ideas from Snell. The right ear creaks as well. Ventilation: the vent slots do nothing, open or closed I can't feel any difference at 60mph. The neck guard makes things very stuffy at stoplights, yet if you remove it your face turns into a turbulent wind tunnel. My old helmet did not have a neck guard and did not have this issue. Wind: I knew having a flip up style helmet would cause a bit more wind noise but frankly this is ridiculous. Westt should have really gone back to the drawing board with this one. If you tuck in or tilt your head forward it's a bit quieter but then you're basically looking 5' in front of you. Viewing area: it's less than my old one, less peripheral view. I got used to it and wouldn't call it narrow, but it is smaller than others. Headset pockets: another point where they really needed to go back to the drawing board. The pocket cutouts are in two different locations. My left ear is aligned well but my right speaker sits slightly behind my right ear making the whole side very quiet and music unenjoyable. I intend on modifying the foam to solve this, but understand this will probably void any dot rating it may have. In my state helmets are optional and I wear one mainly to cut down on wind noise. Flip up mechanism and sunglasses: the flip up works, it seems relatively solid other than that creak on the right side. The sunglasses however are far too clear for my eyes and I end up wearing sunglasses at the same time. Maybe I'll take it to a tint shop and make it darker. Final thoughts. Well I wore it for a few days before developing this review. So I feel it's morally wrong to return it at this point knowing it's just going to be thrown in the trash. I wish I had bought something two or three times the price and had much less wind noise. As a first helmet, yeah it's feature rich and you don't know any better. But if you've used a nicer one, this is definitely a pass. ... show more
