  • WGen9500TFc Great documentation and easy to use
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
We tested the generator on 20OCT2025 after assembling the wheels and forward supports the day before. The unit and its accessories came very well packaged and easy to unpack. The documentation: users manual, warranty, registration is all very well written and easy to follow. The generator handled the load with ease and we will now have a transfer switch installed and wire it into our home in the event of a sustained power outage. We ran the unit on propane (propane, natural gas connections are included in the box) and tested remote start and stop which worked as it should. We tested it for 1 hour and will repeat monthly. I also ran a line to a solar unit/inverter for pure sinewave to a computer and our communications hub (HAM, router, wifi). We found the noise level acceptable and better than originally anticipated. We are pleased with the generator and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Easy assembly, no problems getting it running, and while heavy is easy to move around.
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
The generator came pretty well packed, instructions for assembly are easy to follow and getting ready for first usage was under 20 minutes for me. I also was able to use it for the first time for a small project in my backyard and tested the connection to my home via a 50amp outlet that was installed recently, everything working as expected. Noise level was below what I expected (after reading some reviews), while it is noisy when close to it, once you get inside the home (which in my case is ~25 feet away when connected to the 50 amp) its not as bad. In terms of weight and ease of movement, the wheels and handle make it easy for me and my wife to move it. Finally the quick connects for the LP / Natural gas is really nice, we plan to use it for LP while we install a quick connect to our natural gas line and get a long hose, and being tri-fuel you always have the ability to move from Gas to LP in an emergency. ... show more

  • Florida-proof power setup
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
This generator has been awesome so far. I went with it mainly because it can run on gas, propane, or natural gas... even though I’ll mostly use regular gas, it’s nice knowing I’ve got backup options if fuel gets hard to find. The 50-amp outlet ties right into my home through a 50amp inlet wired to a 50amp circuit breaker on my main panel. Using an interlock kit (installed to meet local code), its very smooth to kick things over to generator power. It runs my 3-ton A/C, electric water heater, pool pump, elec dryer, two fridges, lights, and outlets. It’s surprisingly easy to roll out from the garage when needed and store away afterward. Living in Florida, we were without power/internet for 8+ days after the late 2024 hurricanes, so this setup was a must. Now with Starlink hooked up too, we’ve got full power and internet even if the grid goes down. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made for peace of mind during storm season. ... show more

  • Great buy, very reliable and versatile
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
Best generator - tri fuel (!!) - works great with propane, natural gas and gasoline. Best part is the Westinghouse Smart Switch power module which makes the unit fully automatic - I know of no other portable generator that is compatible with the smart switch . Once the Smart Switch senses no current in household outlet, the generator auto starts and switches the attached appliances from house current to generator current - brilliant and no electrician needed. (Note: Smart Switch max output is 20 amps). This is my second Westinghouse generator (upgraded from 7500 to 9500 and from dual fuel to tri fuel) - very reliable - had the previous one for 3 years without any issues - starts every time. When running on fuels other than gasoline the max output is less than 9500 so take that into consideration when sizing the right unit for your needs. ... show more

  • Easy Order & Easy Set up
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
Been looking for a tri fuel generator for the last couple of years to replace my 25 year old 5K watt Dayton/Honda generator that I purchased just before Y2K. Read the reviews on this one and waited for a sale to pull the trigger. Was delivered by Amazon in just 2 days which was nice. Delivery guys were great and put it inside of my garage for me. The box was in good shape so I proceeded to read the manual & set up directions & unpack it and set it up. Installed the wheels and foot pegs which was easy even for one person. Filled with oil using the funnel that came with it. Connected the battery which had a good charge on it. I connected my 20# propane tank using the provided 6ft hose & regulator then set the fuel source to propane and hit the start button and it fired right up and ran good. Make sure the choke is OFF. TIP: The choke valve will close when you you turn the unit off so beware of this when you go to restart.. The choke is on needs to be off when using propane or natural gas. I cannot comment on using gasoline since i will mainly use propane & natural gas to run this unit for whole house back up using a 50amp transfer switch. The Key Fob that came with the unit was inoperative the battery was dead so I needed to replace the battery and pair it up and its working fine now. Hopefully this unit lasts as long as my other generator but time will tell. Overall seems like a solid unit at a fair price for a tri fuel Generator under 1K bucks delivered, quieter then my Dayton generator with a smaller footprint to store when not in use. Nice that it also included a battery maintainer, it also comes with a 25ft natural gas hose and 6 ft propane hose & regulator. I will be removing the bonding jumper to convert to (Floating Neutral) next since I will connect to my house via a transfer switch and then will try out natural gas when I get the needed fittings plumbed into my Natural gas line. ... show more

  • Affordable emergency power
Style: 12500 Watts - Tri-Fuel
Delivery was early. Everything arrived in good shape. Instructions were clear to. Add wheels and feet. ( only real assembly needed) clear instructions and easy to set up One small problem was pairing the remote start. The instructions were apparently outdated and didn’t tell about the little red button on the end to use for pairing. Once we used that, it worked great. We haven’t had to use it for emergency power yet, will update then. It is a little loud ( all portables are). But that is a small price to pay for emergency power as compared to the whole house deal for thousands. We are happy with it. ... show more
