  • Fantastic & Quiet Lil' Powerhouse
Style: 2550W Dual Fuel
Wow. Very satisfied! The packaging, instructions, prep and start-up all were flawless. The box arrived on time and I jumped right into it reading the Instructions first. Once satisfied, I began the prep phase by first examining all compartments and overall condition of the unit and then inserting the supplied oil. Then I checked the oil level...nice and full without excess spillage. No issues. Once I finished the prep phase, I then hooked up the propane and tested that out before putting any gas into it. It started right up on only a few pulls. I was absolutely shocked and pleased at how effortless it is to pull the recoil handle, and it simply goes. Very quiet, and the ECO Mode is even quieter. I gave it a few minutes to run before hooking any load to it. I placed a couple of nominal loads (lights, tools, etc.) and it ran like a champ. The weight of the generator is so easy, and I wanted to have one on hand that my wife could manage in a pinch. This checks the boxes! I then put in some gas and tested that function and it worked perfectly. All circuit receptacles worked as well. I give it a 5 Star rating. Great little generator and I'm very pleased. ... show more

  • Fast shipping , no damage
Style: 2550W Dual Fuel
Just opened the box, everything looks clean and in order. No damage anywhere. Popped the side cover open and a mystery screw fell on the shop floor, not sure where that came from, hopefully not a sign of things to come. Going through startup procedures and will update as I get some hours on the unit. This is the iGen2550DFc model that I will be taking with me on a hunting trip in a few days. Update after the trip. Update.. About 7 hrs on the gen so far. Runs like a top, I have been putting various loads on it but mostly pretty light for the break in. I will be changing the oil and starting to work it harder soon. This Gen is middle of the road as far as noise. I would say it is nowhere near as quiet as the Honda. That was a big reason to buy this Gen because of what it said in the description about DBs. But the Honda is definitely more quiet. Especially if I turn on the electric heater in the trailer, this thing kicks up the rpm and is loud. For the price difference though it performs well. ... show more

  • Nimble and Just Powerful Enough
Style: 2550W
I purchased this with the original idea of powering my electrical equipment for camping and overlanding trips. I tested this, however, on home appliances (refrigerator, microwave and some additional units) one at a time and they all ran without a hitch. NOT as quiet as the Honda but for the price, I don't mind the extra decibels. They included the parallel cable so given the positive results, I will purchase another to run in parallel and connect these to my 30amp reliance inlet. IF power goes out again, I will have these power up the necessary circuits in my home (refrigerator, internet modem/firewall/switch and some lights). Awesome product to say the least. ... show more

  • Westinghouse iGen2200
Style: 2200W + CO Sensor
This is the second iGen2200 I purchased. I have a whole house Wen generator I use during extended power outages. The problem with a whole house system is the large quantity of fuel required to run them. 16 gallons per 24 hour duration for my application. Hurricane Ian, a huge multi county devastating storm that effected my area knocking out power for weeks, created a situation where fuel was difficult to obtain. Within a couple of days, homeowners had run out of stored generator fuel, forcing those who could, to drive pretty good distances to find gas. Literally thousands of people descending on the closest available stations with fuel. Stations understandably would have a 2 or 3 gas can refill limit. Easy to imagine the problems with that. I had purchased an iGen2200 a couple years ago to cover short term, small power requirements, and am glad I did. After dealing with a stressed fuel supply I started to augment the iGen2200 into my daily power plan. To conserve fuel I would run the whole house system for a few hours each morning and then again for a couple hours before the sun went down, the rest of the time, if we needed power, I would run the 2200. The 2200 was the perfect size with 1800 continuous watts, which would easily handle my wife's CPAP, fans, lights TV/radio, etc., it would run 13 to 14 hours on a gallon of gas, it is portable, very quiet, 50 hours of run time between oil changes, always starts on one pull. I also like the power saving mode. I bought a second 2200 to run parallel for intermittent larger load requirements like hot plates, electric fry pans etc. The new iGen2200 started first pull right out of the box. My point to all this is that large, whole house generators are good for short duration (2 to 3 days) outages, but small, portable inverter generators can play an important role providing economic power with fantastic fuel consumption rates. ... show more

  • Peace of mind
Style: 2550W
I recently purchased this inverter generator mainly to be used to power my husband’s at home dialysis cycler in case of a power failure. It is light enough for me to pick up however it isn’t the easiest to start so that’s why only 4 stars. It takes me a couple of tries and I may have to ask my neighbor to come start it if I can’t get it started, especially if it’s in the dead of winter. I think this will be perfect for the reason I bought it and will give us peace of mind in the event of a power failure. ... show more

Style: 2550W
This generator was just what I wanted, light quiet and plenty of power. I bought this for our 20’ camper but, I now find I use it for my MIG welder when I want to do small jobs on the ranch. I found out about this when we bought one for our trailer at work. It runs our AC, lights, battery chargers and most importantly when it’s cold, our coffee pot. Love this one. ... show more

  • Just Purchased Oct 4,2023
Style: 2550W Dual Fuel
Well I spent some time looking at many of the different makes of Inverter Generators. I chose this one because of the many reviews that were rated 4 and above. The cost was a factor and the fact of having the ability of using either gas or propane. You could not ask for a better packaging and secure very well within the box. I haven't used it yet but started to register it and get it started. I will update this review in a few weeks after camping. ... show more
