These are, dare I say, the prettiest scissors a lady could hope to own. I got tired of the handles breaking on cheap dollar store scissors, so I splurged on these. I'm SO glad I did! The copper has a beautiful, rustic, "brushed" appearance. I'm thinking of ordering matching desktop office supplies, too. They have a heavy & durable feel. Love them. Bought 2 pair and have no complaints they are sturdy steel scissors like they used to make that can be dismantled and sharpened. Good heft in the hand but but too heavy. The copper plating(i assume plating because of the price) is clear coated so it wont fade or patina. No more throw away scissors. These will probably be the last scissors i ever buy. Very pleased with my purchase. Some reviewers said something about something on the handle. There are some small spots where the clear coat was shifted a bit, I'm assuming with scissor movement but it does not take away from the great look or quality of the scissor, and i am kind of a picky perfectionist. I would buy these again if i had to buy scissors ever again. Reminds me of my grandmother's seamstress scissors. NOT safe for children aided crafts, as they are quite sharp. ... show more

These scissors are honestly one of the best pairs I have ever owned. I am an interior designer and regularly cut fabrics, open boxes, cut through wire/silk flowers and toothpicks, slice up carpet samples, etc. These scissors work on basically everything I've put them to, even cutting through 32 oz carpets with ease. They're awesome as fabric shears or box cutters, and fit my hands perfectly. Plus, they're heavy duty and beautiful. I like how sharp these are but be super careful with them because I cut my finger on first use. They’re also really weighted so if you’re looking for some light scissors, keep scrolling. But if you’re looking for some heavy duty scissors that literally cut through most things, these are it!

I was able to glide through a roll of bulletin board paper with ease.
