These are, dare I say, the prettiest scissors a lady could hope to own. I got tired of the handles breaking on cheap dollar store scissors, so I splurged on these. I'm SO glad I did! The copper has a beautiful, rustic, "brushed" appearance. I'm thinking of ordering matching desktop office supplies, too. They have a heavy & durable feel. They are so sharp they cut thick plastic and thick cardboard like it's butter. They are solid metal with metal screw and bolt holding it together. It's polished smooth. I bought 3 more of these scissors. My mother has westcott scissors she had since she got married over 50 years ago and they are still going strong. She has never had to sharpen them. I need scissors in every room. I love these scissors

These are heavy, well made scissors that seem as if they will last a long time and take resharpening many times over. Two down sides.... First~they are heavy weight scissors, although I will do fine with them, I can see how anyone with diminished strength, arthritis or other wrist, hand, finger issues would struggle with them. Second~the thumb and finger openings are on the smaller side. I have larger hands for a woman so there will be plenty of people who feel they are just right, but for me, they wouldn't be usable if any smaller. Over all I’m happy with the scissors for myself, but wanted to list possible issues for others.

These scissors are honestly one of the best pairs I have ever owned. I am an interior designer and regularly cut fabrics, open boxes, cut through wire/silk flowers and toothpicks, slice up carpet samples, etc. These scissors work on basically everything I've put them to, even cutting through 32 oz carpets with ease. They're awesome as fabric shears or box cutters, and fit my hands perfectly. Plus, they're heavy duty and beautiful. After having everyone at the office constantly ask to borrow my scissors, we ordered a pair for everyone and they are a huge hit.

I like how sharp these are but be super careful with them because I cut my finger on first use. They’re also really weighted so if you’re looking for some light scissors, keep scrolling. But if you’re looking for some heavy duty scissors that literally cut through most things, these are it!

Love them. Bought 2 pair and have no complaints they are sturdy steel scissors like they used to make that can be dismantled and sharpened. Good heft in the hand but but too heavy. The copper plating(i assume plating because of the price) is clear coated so it wont fade or patina. No more throw away scissors. These will probably be the last scissors i ever buy. Very pleased with my purchase. Some reviewers said something about something on the handle. There are some small spots where the clear coat was shifted a bit, I'm assuming with scissor movement but it does not take away from the great look or quality of the scissor, and i am kind of a picky perfectionist. I would buy these again if i had to buy scissors ever again. Reminds me of my grandmother's seamstress scissors. NOT safe for children aided crafts, as they are quite sharp.

Heavy duty and beautiful!! you wouldn't think scissors mattered so much until you get a pair that are so dull you would get better results using a butter knife. These scissors are amazing, I am going to buy a couple more to keep in the house. They accent my office decor amazingly
