This was a great skateboard for my 6 year old son to start on and see if he liked skateboarding… After a few months riding everyday you see the differences between this inexpensive deck and a quality one. First, the grip tape is very cheap and started to wear down and peel up within a week. After a month it barely has any “grip” and this is normal non extensive trick riding. Second, while riding along with him it was obvious he couldn’t turn very well even though he knew what he was doing at this point. The Trucks are fine but the bearings are awful and either too tight or too lose with no in between, hence he couldn’t turn right. The wheels are soft and squishy which is fine to start on for kids as going slow is fine. The Bearings in the wheels are also fine and spin really well, honestly one of the best parts of this setup. Lastly the deck is an awkward shape with very little curve and indistinguishable nose and tail, fine to start but.. In conclusion after three months of learning to skateboard my son quickly outgrew this skateboard. He isn’t a savant but I’ve ridden over 30 years so just in that little growth for him he out grew this board. So if your child is serious about skateboarding just go to your local shop and drop $100.. This is the perfect board (and price) for a child to kick around if they aren’t overly serious about skateboarding and just want to ride along with their friends!! And it says SkateBord… not anything cool.

I waited a year to give this review because giving a review right after purchasing it is not a real review. My son hasn't used it everyday, but when he does it holds up very well. We noticed that one of the screws were different on the top (good companies wouldn't allow this discrepancy) but this is Amazon and they allow a lot of things to slip by with companies who sell through them. We didn't use it too much in the beginning due to it feeling like we were just going to fall off it (side note: we are newbie skaters). My nephew came over and told us how the bolts were too loose and needed tightening. Once we did that, my kids have loved using the board. The graphic on the bottom is not coated to withstand grinding or.... really any kind of rubbing against. Most of the chipping happened immediately after a few uses. I also cannot state if it is sturdy enough to do major tricks, as we are just beginning the journey of skateboarding. However, if your child or you as an adult want to begin on a board that you can possibly trust, this would be my pick. I gave it 4 stars for the mismatched bolts and non-coated bottom.

My grandson loved this skateboard. It’s big and well made and at a great price The graphics are nice. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this at such a great price. Provides hours of enjoyment

This is a good quality skateboard - especially for the money. It really is real wood, with a good grip on the top, and smooth wheels on the bottom. It glides really nice. Solid feel. But, I'm taking a star off the rating because I bought this as a birthday present for my niece - specifically because it seemed like the less juvenile of all the designs available - with the random word "sbiffibe" on the bottom. But, when I got it today, it instead says "skatebord" [sic] on the bottom, and the bottom decal has bubbles in it. I'm still going to give it to her for her birthday, but giving my street-smart and savvy 15 year old niece a skateboard with the word "skateboard" purposely misspelled on it seems a bit cheesy. Oh, well. I'll just encourage her to cover it up with decals of her choice. So, the pictures for this skateboard are not accurate.

For a couple of weeks when I got it it was really nice and smooth it was really affordable and better than other people skateboards and it was very hard to fall off and it was really sturdy but I accidentally left it in the rain and the back picture was a sticker and a peeled off so now it looks disgusting so just don’t keep it in the rain or get it wet
