Description

High quality combination ratchet wrench set by Wera: everything that a wrench has to be able to do. And a whole lot more. Faster, better, stylish. Yes, a real joker. The new generation of combination ratchet wrenches. Two-piece set in a robust pouch. Suitable for hexagon bolt heads or nuts. Comes with a holding function, thanks to the metal plate in the jaw, which reduces the Risk of dropping nuts and bolts. The replaceable metal plate in the jaw secures nuts and bolts with its extra hard teeth and limits the danger of slipping. The integrated limit stop prevents any slipping down around the bolt head and allows higher torque to be applied. The double-hex geometry makes for a positive connection with nuts or bolts and reduces the Risk of slipping. A return angle of only 30° at the open end prevents any time consuming flipping of the wrench during fastening jobs. The ratchet mechanism at the ring end, with an exceptional, fine-tooth mechanism 80 teeth in all enables flexibility even in very confined working spaces. The specially forged geometry provides for high torque transfer and strength. Manufactured out of high performance chrome molybdenum steel with a nickel-chrome coating for high corrosion protection.

  • Quality and innovation
Size: Set of 11 Metric in Box Style: Wrenches
Very high quality tools without scary prices of USA made tools. Wera is a top quality German tool manufacturer. Wera can be very pricey sometimes. This set is a special type of wrenches that no one else makes. You have to watch the video to find out why. I bought two different sets of Wera wrenches. One set with a ratcheting wrenches offers a non-skip open end of the wrench. It will never slip past a bolt head or nut while working. ... show more

  • If you could only buy one wrench set, you've found it.
Size: Set of 11 Metric in Box Style: Wrenches
As a certified master tech and German specialist I have a LOT of different tools, and these wrenches are AWESOME! I'm always looking for new tools which can save me time and make my life easier, and these wrenches definitely help. Now, as a master tech with a lot of tools, I know there is no tool that works in every situation. I'm a big fan of ratcheting wrenches, especially the big ticket high tooth count wrenches. For years my go-to ratcheting wrench has been Matco's 9 Series wrenches which have 90 teeth and one of the lowest swing arcs available (only the new SK X-Frame beats them). They also feature a spline drive on the ratcheting end so they fit multiple types of fasteners. So, while I have better ratcheting wrenches, these wrenches are excellent, and I wouldn't be sad if they were my only set. I put these to the test for about a month and only used these and I never had a problem. They can take a crap load of torque, they're one of the most comfortable wrenches I've tried, and they look super cool (which is important in the shop environment...). But the reason I bought these, and the reason you should too is on the other end of the wrench. Wera's innovative open end is beyond helpful to technicians. The backing plate is a godsend. I wish every wrench had this on it because it would make a lot of jobs a lot easier. But the real winner is the multi-tooth open end. As Wera points out their wrench only takes 30 degrees to turn, as opposed to the traditional 60 degrees. In tight spots this is worth a million dollars. Sometimes the nut or bolt just doesn't want to come out easily, even after being broken loose, but there isn't enough room to reposition the wrench. Not anymore! Just today I was having a hard time getting an AC line loose on an older Mercedes. I was trying my traditional wrenches, then my Knipex pliers, then I grabbed a Joker and got it off in a few seconds. I was so happy. This wrench set it worth every penny to the master tech and even the weekend warrior. If you only had room or the money for one wrench set then this needs to be it. Some programming notes: The wrenches are made in the Czech Republic, which doesn't bother me as the price reflects that. My Matco wrenches are three times the price of these and they're made in Taiwan... The satin finish is really cool as it stands out from the drawers and drawers of chrome, but it's a little harder to clean, and I like clean tools. The bag that comes with the set is super heavy duty and is super handy as I don't have a ton of room in my box, and as I don't use them every day it helps to store them in it. ... show more

  • Less than I hoped for but still good wrenches
Size: Set of 11 Metric in Box Style: Wrenches
First off these get the job done and they do a couple things that my others sets of wrenches won't do. I own a lot of wrenches I would consider these to be in the middle as far as build quality with a couple of things keeping them from being top tier. First off the backdrag (the amount of effort required to turn the ratcheting end of the wrench) varies from the large to the small wrenches in the set. Roughly anything from 8-14 have too much drag which means you have to either thread the bolt in quite a bit before using them or you have to do a technique where you place your finger over the ratcheting mechanism and the bolt head to provide enough friction for the ratcheting mechanism to function as it should until there is enough friction from the threads. On the larger wrenches they simply work as they should and require very little extra techniques to work as intended. I was hoping this would break in and it still may but after a month and a half of steady use it hasn't yet. Second, the open box end has features that no other wrench I have has, but they add up to some drawbacks as well. The first of these is that even despite visible bracing the open ends will definitely flex in high torque situations so if a bolt or nut needs to be tight it may be better to get another wrench with more steel on the open end or "teeth" that grip the flats of the fastener better. The second drawback has to do with the tight tolerances which are probably necessitated by the 12 point design and the inherent flex that comes with that choice. It takes longer to get the wrench lined up correctly with the bolt or nut just because the window of available degrees of rotation where the wrench will match the flats of the fastener is smaller. This could be attributed to the fact I'm over 40 (possibly decreased hand eye coordination) and have some carpal tunnel but I just don't have this difficulty with my other sets of wrenches and I have over 26 years in automotive repair so using wrenches is not new to me It may sound like I hate these wrenches but I don't. They do have a very nice roll or case I took mine out but I will say it was a good way to store them in a tool bag. What I really like about them is the coloring system. I like it so much I copied it onto some 1/4"impact sockets I use every day and it makes both sets so much better. I do wish they would have created a very thin depression that the color band would sit in to protect it from wear. The combination of large numbering and the color system make finding the right wrench very easy and learning the colors was actually very quick. All in all I think these are good wrenches but they would not be my first or only set. I do think they are a bit overpriced for what they are but they do solve one or two use cases (the nut holding function and the decreased swing arc on the 12 open end). These are good for a person who likes tools, a person who is trying to solve one of the special uses these work well in or someone who has their heart set on a very different looking set of wrenches and buys into the "German engineering" marketing surrounding this set. I fit two out of the three of these. ... show more
