  • With a little work, this oddly-designed jacket can be your next iconic look
Size: Medium Color: Army Green
So I’ll start off and say that as this jacket comes, it is kind of a disappointment. The aesthetic is great, I loved the way it looked before I bought it and still loved it when it arrived TODAY but the measurements are kind of unusual. I bought a medium, which is the smallest size available that will fit me based on sleeve length and chest/shoulder size. I’m a 6’1, 180lb man with a pretty wide chest and shoulders. The sleeves end right where I’d like them, and the simple button cuffs feel right at home where they rest when I’m wearing the jacket. And that’s something I struggle with so I love it. However the sleeves and body of the jacket seem to be pretty voluminous. If I bend my arm, the sheer amount of extra space and fabric is evident. In the sample picture, where the cuff is on my wrist is where it is when my arm is relaxed as well. The sleeve hasn’t fallen down in the picture, so there isn’t any reason for there to be that much fabric bunched up in the arm. Similarity, the machined quality is evident, as is the fact that it was probably manufactured dome time ago snd put in storage. The wrinkling is expected but the “stand collar” is dented and creased so severely it looks like the coat you find in the back of your closet that has been pinned under your grandmother’s old Rainbow vacuum for half of a decade. Basically, it’s gonna take more than the average steam to smooth out. This issue is more of a personal thing, but the first thing I did was remove the brand tag inside. No offense to the manufacturers, but I don’t drive off of the car lot with the dealer plate border on either (unless you’re paying me, I am not advertising for you) and the tag inside this jacket is HUGE. I own clothes ranging from $10 Hanes sleep pants to a $650 leather jacket. One of the few things I’ve noticed is that the larger and more obnoxious the manufacturers fingerprint is, the lower the quality of the item is. (For instance both those Hanes pants and that leather jacket have visible tags are less than 2x2 inches and both items of clothing have proven their durability over 3+ years of continued and aggressive use). Let’s hope that trend does not continue here. Now for the reason that this jacket is perfect, amazing, and I want more than one: This is a no frills jacket. There aren’t pointless zippers that don’t give access to anything, there aren’t odd logos or characters displayed in odd places. This jacket is a blank canvas on the outside with ample seamwork. I like to personalize my clothes a little bit (a small colored thread accent here, maybe putting new buttons on, maybe a lapel pin or sew-on patch) and this jacket seems to be designed specifically with that in mind. Not to mention, because of the aforementioned seamwork, it’ll be easy to take the baggy parts in without compromising the jacket’s structural integrity. (If you are unable to do a job like that yourself, it’s jot usually costly to get an adjustment like that made.). So there it is: while I have a lot of small grievances against whoever designed this jacket personally, the things I love about it faaaaaaar outweigh the negatives. For an extra $20-$40 or just your own time, this good-looking but plain and oddly-designed jacket could be your personalized masterpiece. I like it, and I intend to buy the next one in small, just to see if the base fit is better as the measurements from the seller make no sense. But I intend to have this jacket in navy and black as well as the green I already bought. And there’s a thicker winterized version that I’m probably going to end up owning at least two of them. ... show more

  • Overall good purchase
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
Just what I wanted, a lighter weight product, trendy enough look, well constructed garment, and just the right length ( slightly longer). Won’t go wrong if its what you’re looking for.

  • Fits well, looks nice
Size: XX-Large Color: Tobacco
Got this one to replace a previous version by the same company that lasted several years. Good quality, good fit.

  • Only 2 buttons on front! Polyester lining throughout. Tight in upper arms.
Size: Large Color: Coffee
Quality of zipper was fine, but there are only TWO buttons in the front over the zipper. One is at the very top. The second is at the very bottom. They are pretty much useless. The fabric flap over the zipper having no buttons other than the very top and very bottom flops out and sticks out. One can't just use the snaps as one would like as there are only those two. For me the upper arms are tight and the chest is a little tight. For comparison: 1. Levi's Levi's Men's Big & Tall Washed Cotton Military Jacket size L Levi's had very very tight upper arms very tight compared to WenVen in the same size L. The Levi's zippers were bad quality and one was broken on arrival. This has better zippers. The Levi's had good snaps. 2. Whitetails Legendary Whitetails Men's Oakridge Vintage Washed Canvas Jacket size M The Whitetails in size M (no L is available) fits on me with MORE room in the upper arms and chest than the WenVen in size L. The Whitetails has a superb heavy zipper in front AND good snaps up and down the entire front. The Whitetails has a wonderfully comfortable and warm lining and a removable hood. This WenVen is not nearly as good with a slick polyester lining and a worse fit. 3. Walls Walls Men's Amarillo Vintage Duck Cotton Twill Jacket size L and XL (I tried both L and XL) The Walls are a good quality product, but for the the rear length (from collar to bottom in back) is very very short and over my belt. The WenVen is proper length. The Walls have no zipper, but they have good snaps all the way down the front. The size of the Walls is larger overall than the WenVen. The size L Walls fits my arms well (not tight) and chest correctly as well. Size L in WenVen is smaller and tighter. XL Walls in spite of being XL has the same very short back. ... show more
