Read my story if you want; if not here’s the main points: it’s shiny (but not overly shiny!) and soft. Color is pretty true to photos. I took the clips off the piece in the pics. Doesn’t take heat styling, but washing and conditioning help reduce frizz. Gets the job done if you have straight hair and: you have fine hair and just need length, have regular hair and just want volume. UPDATE! While it took a minute, they were in contact often- within 48 hours for most exchanges. I received a full refund and they even offered me a free product to try. If that ever comes- I mean hey why not give them a go. I will say, as someone who lost most of their hair in a bleach SNAFU, having a halo is like a security blanket. If you have fine hair, it will give you length. If you have regular-thick hair- it will give you some extra volume. If you don’t care about heat styling it, then go for it it’s a great little piece. If you get the quality like the first one I purchased, you will be able to heat style it. Just remember it’s Amazon- so it’s not real hair, but for the price point it looks good and is well constructed. 👍 UPDATE: as of right now; Wennalife gets 10 stars for customer service. They’ve been prompt in their responses and are willing to give me a full refund. I will update when that goes through! Really- if you have an issue and provide all the information they are very kind and helpful. Previous: I purchased 16inch halo in May and loved it. Wore it every day, styled it, washed it, trimmed it when the ends got dry- it behaved like real hair! Because for the most part I believe it was. Since it lost a lot of length, I decided to repurchase- and these are NOT the same extensions I got back in May. They feel synthetic, look synthetic, and behave like synthetic. Don’t take heat styling, hair product doesn’t stick to the hair- it’s just completely different from my other one. I will be returning it and asking for one of the good ones. I think they have some crappy ones mixed in with good ones so the reviews are mostly good or terrible (notice the next highest review percent is 1 star) I’m really disappointed bc I paid full price for this one and got garbage, and the one I got in May was on sale. Don’t feel like that’s a coincidence. Please, Wennalife! I’ll give you one chance to make this right. Don’t let me down.

I have a pair of expensive extensions I wear for like going out but it takes like 20 minutes to put them in so I wanted something quick for the gym, home, work and comfortable. So far, no tangling and the hairs seem to be all one way so it looks and feels good. The color match is on point with soft black. I got the highest density which came with 2 side pieces for near my bangs/ears to fill in the gaps. Game changer. That’s where I’m the thinnest. I razored down to blend and wow. Mind you my hair is only blow dryed so it’s not sleek like the hair but I’m sure once I iron my hair it’ll match better. Thickness is great. I like that my extensions came with a year warranty and an email to contact as well. Shipped fast!

Color: #4/26/4 Balayage Chocolate Brown to Hone...

There is only two reasons I did not give this a better review. I did not anticipate how much blonde was in this halo. That is my rooky mistake. However it was very very wavy. We had to recolor it to match my hair and when we did we found this real hair was very wavy and not straight as I wanted. It washed out frizzy and I could tell one end came from a different donor. We decided to make it curly as it would be a problem to keep it straight. For the length not as many grams as needed so needed another one to make it full. Curly and with some leave in conditioner it is really quite full and beautiful. I have worn it a couple of times. I plan to switch it out with others and not wear on a daily basis. It did have some short broken ends near the weft. I used the clip in's instead of halo as it is my shorter hair that did not blend well. Cutting it a couple inches or so makes it look thicker we found. So if you want straight remy hair I would go elsewhere. But it will hold curl very well no matter if you want beachy or spiral curls. Just know that most hair that says 20 inches is not all 20 inches. Also I have learned that it is the clips in extensions that give out so if yours isn't stitched in I would try in the holes for sewing them. You get an extra wire as they do break but with clips I think it gives you extra stability. Remy advertised hair is not always what it is cracked up to be and this industry is not regulated. But if you are on a budget and want real hair Amazon is just as good as any other place to buy them. The grams you can trust more. Just know the longer the hair the thinner it may be and you may need two as I did. We did a work around to make it work, we colored with professional help to get in the one chosen for the highlights a better color. The less you mess with them the better. That means heat. There is a cool iron now to not subject hair to heat. But we deep conditoned it and still came out frizzy. So came the leave in conditoner to the rescue and aragon oil also. That is my newbie learning experience. I hope this helps you to make your choice. I have had samples from the top companies and very disappointed in the amount of hair that is supposed to be used for a clip in. I do suggest the halos with clip ins unless your hair is as long as the hair you purchase as with halo's you blend into your real hair. Short hair can work but on a budget you may end up paying a professional and pay more for the item. I also suggest you go on youtube if a new to hair extensions. I like clips and halos etc. as easy and quick to do. For ponytails I love the jaw clip in's the best. For buns that is your choice. I have not used wigs. But I can say I do have now more hair and it looks real and very good with some adjustments. For curly hair go for it and buy two of them for enough hair or cut them to make them look fuller. To wash treat them as like they are silk. Don't get weft wet. And just run right shampoo from holding firmly below weft to ends. Rinse well and good to hang on the hair hangers for these. I would have given more stars but for newbie and all we had to do to make them look good this is what I gave for this brand. I have both synthetic and remy hair from Amazon. They offer alot of different vendors and styles. It all depends on what you are looking for.

I was shocked at the color match on these. I made my best guess when I was ordering them, and it is the exact same color as my natural hair. I ordered the chocolate brown 18 inch 125G for reference. I have a couple gripes with them (see below), but ultimately, I was able to style them in a way that looked really nice. And I think the fact that they match my hair color exactly helps to make them more undetectable than if the color had not matched. This is honestly a great option if you’re trying to save money but still want human hair extensions that you can heat style. My only 2 gripes with these (having used clip in real hair extensions in the past), are the following: - They seem a little thinner on the ends than I was expecting. I would never be able to use these extensions without curling my hair to blend my hair into them. When I first put them in just to see how they looked, both my hair and the extensions were straight, and you could clearly see where my hair ended….starkly. I think I would only be able to wear my hair straight with them in if my hair was almost the same length as the extensions (for some added volume/thickness - not length). - The halo string is a bit thicker and shinier than I was expecting, so I feel it is extremely noticeable when I wear it as a halo. I decided to simply wear them clipped in without the halo string attached which made them a little more undetectable, but then the edges don’t lay down flush to my scalp quite as nicely. This brand makes clip in extension wefts, and I wish I would have gone with that instead of the halo option. Maybe down the road I might add those to my collection.

Ok, so I am a licensed cosmetologist. I’ve been dealing with hair extensions for 10+ years and I will say the reason why I only gave it three stars is because it’s not 140 g of hair like it was advertised. I’ve had name brand extensions from Luxy, Zala, Belliam. I do hair extensions and I was trying to find a hair halo that one of my clients could try. So I tried this one. Disappointed in the grams of hair now I will say the length of the hair isn’t 20 inches long. It’s 18. That’s all the cons from it. Now the quality of the hair is very good. I did a test to see if it was real hair and it is. I will say you’re probably getting 120g if you get the 140g. It’s good quality hair just a few cons with it. I wished I had old have known this before buying. When you get the box, you have two strands that you can try to color match your hair, which is very convenient most hair extensions brands do that, but the disappointment that I had when opening the other box to find out that it was not 140 g of hair and not 20 inches long. Hope they change this. Hope this helps others out

My hair is slowly recovering from a shed I suffered when my thyroid was off. I’ve been using synthetic halos for about half a year now, and I love them, but they get rough and choppy so quick, and replacing them gets expensive, even at $10 a pop. So I decided to give a human hair halo a shot. My first two attempts were disastrous. The first one was good quality and the color matched, but the band was too thick at the sides - where most of my hair loss occurred - to remain hidden. My second attempt was a halo that was decent quality, with a thinner band I could hide, but the color of the halo I received didn’t match the color shown on the sales page. So I tried this one as a last ditch effort, and I’m so glad I did. The color is a *perfect* match for my new growth. The hair is long, silky and soft, and seems to be sturdily anchored to the band. And this is the first halo I’ve ever ordered where the wire fit my tiny head right outta the box - no more knotting up wires or messing with adjustable beads. I was worried when I first saw the tiny box, thinking there was no way there would be enough hair to give me enough volume (my new growth is barely down to my chin), but I was pleasantly surprised. One halo is more than sufficient, and the hair is thick all the way down to the ends - no tapering to a wispy V like some of the other human hair halos. It’s not as thick as a synthetic halo, but it looks natural, and right now that’s what I need - something that looks real and gives me my confidence back. It’s also lighter than a synthetic halo - the wire doesn’t dig into my scalp, leaving a dent. If you’re on the fence about trying it out, just do it. The color was almost a perfect match with the pic on the sales page (I ordered the chocolate brown to honey blond, the brown does have a reddish tinge to it I’m not happy about, but it’s very subtle) and it has a flat-lying band that stays hidden beneath my hair. I’ve been wearing it in a ponytail, and have done both weight training and sprints, and it hasn’t budged. I’m even toying with the idea of removing the clips, although they’re not a hindrance - the last halo I tried, the clips were so bulky they kept tangling in my hair, even when closed. This halo is perfect for someone who is looking for volume and/or length, and is perfect for those with damaged hair who can’t wear clip ins. I am so so happy with this halo!!!

Love! The color match for 5R was perfect for my brownish/red hair. The clip in extensions version may blend a little better than the halo BUT the halo is so quick and easy so I preferred it. I have yet to curl them but it took to the straightener well. The amount of hair worked but of course you always want more hair, lol. I do appreciate the 2 extra clips.
