Description

Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power? The WEN 3600-Watt Inverter Generator provides clean energy, free of voltage spikes and drops, without all the noise of a regular generator. Produce up to 3600 surge watts and 2900 rated watts of power on gasoline, or connect a propane tank using the tool-free quick-connector for up to 3500 surge watts and 2600 rated watts of power on LPG. The WEN Watchdog CO Shutdown Sensor helps protect both you and your family by automatically turning off the generator if dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Our 149cc engine operates at a modest 65 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 3600W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 49-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra- efficient 1.5-gallon tank provides up to 5 hours of half-load run time (or 14 hours half-load run time on a 20-pound LPG tank). The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle, one 120V TT-30R RV receptacle, and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline. Need more energy? Easily link up any two WEN inverter generators using a WEN Parallel Connection Kit (sold separately) in order to share wattage amongst multiple units. Low-oil and low-fuel automatic shutdown combine with the built-in overload protection and indicator lights to safeguard both your generator and your electronics from damage. And because this is a WEN Product, your inverter generator comes backed by a 3-year limited warranty, a nationwide network of skilled service technicians and a friendly customer helpline. Remember when your generator powered your electronics safely and quietly? Remember WEN.

Finally pulled the trigger on this after many months of watching reviews between this Wen 3600w and the identical Champion 4000w. The features of this Wen, with the digital data center for fuel gage, load, voltage, and run time pushed me towards this over the Champion. The Champion has none of that. This model, being identical to the Champion is rated a 100w less running watts at 2900w vs 3000w. That 100w just doesn't make the difference for me. The price difference is also significant, with the Wen being around $150 cheaper between the Dual Fuel models. I have switch to this Wen 3600w for my camp trailer from the much larger Champion 4500w Dual Fuel, simply due to size and weight. The Champion 4500 Dual Fuel is 100+lbs and an absolute pain to load and haul around, and is way more wattage than I could ever need in my small Jayco 184BH. Still planning to keep the Champion 4500 as home power backup though. This Wen comes in at 49lbs with oil added, and much easier to handle loading in and out of my truck. The noise level on this Wen is noticeably louder on eco mod and especially when running with higher loads. But that's the trade off. And it makes sense. The Champion 4500 has a larger 212cc engine that rarely needs to idle up to produce the power I need and they're just quietter to begin with, where this Wen has a 149cc engine that needs to rev up to hit the same output. At idle, the noise is very tolerable. There are many videos on YouTube for this model I suggest watching, showing decibel readings and comparing to other generators in the class, as well as a shootout between the Wen 3600w and matching Champion 4000w I have modified the included propane attachment with quick connect fittings, to utilize the output on my trailer. Very easy modification. The fittings can be purchased here on Amazon for around $15. I have also purchased a couple 12ft quick connect propane hoses so I can run the generator out and away from my trailer a bit to cut down on noise. I'm still in the break-in process, and plan on changing the oil every hour for the first 6hrs to keep flushing out dirty oil. And cycling the load between 0-50%. Once this is done I will put this thing into regular service and plan to change the oil every 25hrs or so with full synthetic. This is oil change interval is overkill, but clean oil is cheap insurance, and hopefully keeps this thing up and running for thousands of hours to come. One thing I have noticed is it seemed to run a bit rough after initial start up, but after 1.5hrs of running it has really smoothed out. Overall I am very pleased with this unit. The size, weight, and power output is great! I will update my review in the future if this falls short of my expectations. ... show more

  • You can’t go wrong with this generator, running with LPG is a plus
Size: Dual Fuel + CO Alarm
Wen has always been a reliable generator brand for our family. This is th second generator I have, the first one was a WEN 56235i 2350 Watt generator, a great unit easy to start and very quiet. The need to get a larger generator came up and I end up giving it to my son. I now have this unit WEN 3600 Watt dual fuel unit which exceeds my expectation. The unit can run on gasoline or LPG. The nice thing about it is that it can run for up to 14 hrs. on one bottle of LPG. The unit is also very quiet and is light enough that it can be carried single handed by a 63 year person. The generator is large enough to run a 30 Amp camper including the AC (that is the reason I upgraded) ... show more

  • 3600-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator
Size: Dual Fuel + CO Alarm
Last night around 6:30 the power went out as hurricane Francine was approaching us. Waited half an hour and it looked like it wasnt coming back on so I went outside and got out my brand new Wen 3600 Watt generator that I bought in June. Still had to put the oil in it it was so new. So I put oil in it, gassed it up and fired it up. Second pull it started and smoked its tail off. And then it died and wouldnt restart. Tried the fuel cap and it had a suction sound to it so figured that was it, cap wasnt venting. Restarted it and it still smoked and ran rough. Died a few times and couldnt get it to run long enough to hook up any load to it. By this time I am in a T shirt, joggers with flip flops and soaked to the bone. Its getting dark and weather is getting worse so figured I would look at it in the morning after the storm and went in and dried off. Had some battery camping lights and a radio so I was set for the night and it was cool. Low 70's so me and Jasper my cat chilled while listening to the storm pass us on by. The eye of the storm went right over my house. This morning went out and started the generator up again. It cranked right up and still smoking its tail off. Plugged up the load from my solar system with the chest freezer, fridge and the gen idled way up and took the load. Almost died a couple times but it kept running while still smoking its tail off. Figured ok, lets see what else this smoking pig will take and plugged up the line that had the lights, computer, all the kitchen and living room appliances and it took that load fine. Still smoking but not nearly as bad as it was. So i plugged up a 5000 btu window AC and turned that on high. Damn lil generator took the load just fine. I estimated 2000 watt load on it now. Ok, time to get greedy and got out the coffee maker. That takes about 1000 watts and is a big load on top of everything else but I wanted to see how strong this generator really is. Not even a hick up. Damn thing took the load fine and I opened the door and the smoking stopped. It was sitting there running nice and quietly. At first I thought the generator was going to be pure junk that is way past its return date but I lucked out and its a keeper. It ran for about 4 hours before the power came back on and burned maybe half a gallon of gas. Not bad. Then my girlfriend came and grabbed the little generator to take to a friend that lived next door to her. She had a freezer full of food she didnt want to lose and I had power restored so sure. Girlfriend told me last night she watched her go out around 7 am and gas up my generator, cranked it up and went to work. Around 5 yesterday afternoon the wife said she heard it die so she went over, filled the gas up and cranked it up again. Thing ran 10 hours keeping a freezer and fridge running. Not bad at all on a gallon and a half of gas. At the time of writing this review the generator has around 50 hours run time and runs perfectly. No smoking at all and provides plenty of power. I was able to run a fridge and freezer (500 watts combined) desktop computer and monitor (300 watts) lights and small appliances like router and modems (200 watts) and a 5K btu window air conditioner ( 600 watts) for around 1600 watts combined and then use a coffee maker for another 1K watts which is about 2600 watts total and the generator took the load with no complaints Ran great. Highly recommend!!! ... show more

Delivered with engine oil and propane connectors. Runs great with propane. Generator works well for powering my travel trailer/AC. Sufficiently quiet while running. Suggest buying grounding rod.
