My cat loves poultry and fish combined; she used to be a chicken-and-herring girl. So turkey-and-salmon is a new variety for her on the same fish-bird theme. She weighs 8 lbs and comfortably puts away two 3-ounce cans between am and pm. It takes her about 5 trips to eat it all down per meal. I just open the can, turn it upside down, and slide the food, still can shaped, into her bowl. Sometimes a little gravy stays in the can; if so i just teaspoon it out. If i’m using a bowl with rims, i leave it as is inside the bowl. If i’m using a flatter, more whisker-friendly bowl, i mash it down with a fork to keep the food in place and keep it from spilling over. It’s frustrating when humans make the decision to feed their cat a certain brand of canned food because they (the human) thinks it tastes good. Do they honestly think cats choose which brand of lizard or rat or pigeon to eat because of flavor? As pet parents a cat “liking” a food should be far down on the list of reasons to choose it. Saying you feed your cat something because it “loves” it is like saying you feed your two-year old baby nothing but cotton candy meals three times a day because she “loves” it. Using rigid guidelines set out for my cats by a veterinarian I choose this brand as one the better ones that meets my pet’s dietary needs. It does that well, but not perfectly. Unfortunately it still avoids listing specific numbers for carbohydrates, which should be near the top of a cat’s nutritional needs. High carbohydrates negatively impact the blood sugar level of cats and the leading cause of feline diabetes (which is why responsible humans should NEVER feed their cats dry cat kibble). And also unfortunately they like most other brands play loose with the words “grain free” because some of their ingredients in fact are just as poor of a choice for cats as grains. Despite all that, overall they are one of the better options and by the way, a side benefit is that my cats do like it. The only thing that pushes this brand down slightly is they are at the far upper end of the price scale, even when compared to other super-premium canned food blends. ... show more

This is a healthy food or one of the healthiest at a mid price. My cat eats this turkey gravies flavor with no i issues BUT somehow he is not touching this batch. 1st can he did not eat 2nd can same thing . Very unusual. I am considering ditching the subscription. Supposedly the can cover gold means it is made in the USA versus the can cover silver which means made in Thailand. This one is gold and it does say made in USA . Perhaps my cat got the Thai one before and has decided to be an unpatriotic cat and dislike the one made here. ... show more

I've been buying the Wellness minced chicken for my cat for a couple of years now. But sometimes last year (2022) the product started varying a LOT from one case to the next, to the point that my cat wouldn't eat it. Then we had a couple of "good" cases where the color, texture, and aroma seemed more like what we expected. Now, another weird batch. It's like it's not even the same recipe - everything is different. So again, I've spent almost $70 on food that my cat normally LOVES, and she won't go near it. I trusted this brand but am not sure how to feel about it anymore. OH, also... I sent them an email inquiring about the formula last year when it happened the first time. Zero response. Great customer service, guys. I guess we have to find a new brand to trust. ... show more
