I ordered the 8-pin pack of 1/4-inch pins, four with round clips, four with square ones. While they are described as "hitch pins" they are really latch pins, used to keep lever-type trailer hitch latches from opening unexpectedly. Safety pins, in other words. They are not meant as hitch tow pins. But, for use as latch pins, they are perfect, and a good value, to boot. The pins stay with the trailer, but they can be easy to lose, especially when used off-road, like for farm trailers, or a wood splitter. It's always good to have extras on hand, because if you do ose one, it's illegal to tow a trailer on-road without it. I have one small utility trailer that uses one of these pins, and a wood splitter. Sometimes we tow with an SUV, sometimes with a tractor. I'll be putting at least one of these in the toolbox/glovebox of each, so we have on handy when we need one.

I picked up this set to replace a couple of hitch pins that got damaged on my travel trailer. These definitely look like they’ll work, but they’re much thinner than the original pins that came with my trailer. Because of that, I’m not totally convinced they’ll hold up long‑term under heavier stress. That said, I really do like the locking design. Once you slide the pin through, the wire clip snaps into place securely, and it feels solid. For lighter duty use or as backups, they seem perfectly fine. Overall, they’re functional and the locking mechanism works great — I just wish they were a bit beefier like the ones they’re replacing.

These Wellmax Trailer Hitch Pin Set can be used for more than just trailer hitch! They work great for hitch pins, but I also use the square one on my trailer wheel jack and also on my Snowdog 9' plow to replace the locking pin. This set is a good value for the price. They're easy to use, strong, and reliable. Even for more than their intended use!

This is a package of 8 trailer hitch pins, with 4 square and 4 with arch loops. Though the marketing references "heavy duty" the pins are only 1/4" and are more suitable for light duty agricultural equipment depending on how they're used. In general, if the pin is likely to be subjected to significant force when towing, this isn't a good choice. When used to keep the latch down on a trailer's coupler latch, these are more than suitable. This is more of a safety pin than a pin than something intended for a load. These are zinc plated which makes them rust resistant, but not completely rust-proof. There are other types of hitch pins and some are available in stainless steel but for most applications, the additional cost isn't warranted. In my case, the pin is only exposed to the elements while towing a trailer. Once unhitched, the safety pin is stored out of the elements and a hitch lock is installed in its place as a theft deterrent. At about $1 each, these are an excellent value when used as a latch pin. With 8 of them in the package, they're affordable enough you can replace them if they rust over time when exposed to the elements.

This is a great multi-pack of hitch pins to fit different hitches. In my case I was able to test each style to find the one that fit my scenario. The price is very cheap, considering what you get. They have a costing to help prevent corrosion, which is also good. This will also come in handy to keep in my truck just in case something goes wrong with my lockable hitch pin.

Great pack of trailer hitch pins. Somehow these always go missing and I can never find an extra when I need it. This 8 pack is exactly what I needed. These are good quality pins that have held up well to heavy use with out tractor, 4 wheeler, and trailer.
