Look at the picture. The one on the left is the one that came from this seller which they claim is 2.5mm. There is no way that the width of this exceeds the 2.0mm mark. Much more, they listed that it is 5.3 grams. Even though the tag on the zip lock says 6.36 grams, this is still underweight. The one in the middle is a 2.5mm gold plated I bought just for comparison. The one on the right is a 3mm which I previously bought. Even with the naked eye, the width of their chain is much narrower than the 2.5mm. Compare this to other solid 14K 22” 2.5mm gold rope chain. This is way too light. That’s because it is only 2.0mm. This is a clear example of false advertising. They are claiming that it is 2.5mm. Maybe the angle of shooting makes the chain look thinner, the seller said. The weight of a 14K 22” 2.5 solid gold rope chain is in the vicinity of 9 gms. ... show more

I bought this for my wife for an anniversary gift as she wanted a new rope chain to hold a pendant that contains some ashes, the chain she was using didn't look thick enough to hold the weight. We checked out a few jewelry stores and their prices were extremely high, we compared the weights with this chain and took a chance on it,So glad that we did, this chain looks beautiful in the box and on her, she is very pleased with it and confident that it will hold the pendant. I wasn't sure in the picture if it was just the reflection on the chain or if it looked like 2 different shades of gold, in person it looks like 2 different shades that compliment each other and sparkle in the light.
