I love a good, clean makeup product, and. I've especially appreciated Well People's consistent, clean, effective products. I've used a few foundation productions, including their stick foundation and tinted moisturizer, as well as their mascara and probably a few other products I can't remember. My skin type is combination, but a bit on the oily side, especially in the summer. I also have a good bit of residual texture from teenage acne that hasn't fully healed or repaired, and I have a family trait of larger pores that I'm apparently not going to avoid. 🤣 I usually look for a medium to full coverage foundation that blurs and minimizes blemishes and texture. As I age, it's also important that what I use isn't DRY matte, either, so my skin still retains some moisture and luminance. I currently a full-coverage matte finish foundation from a different brand that I've enjoyed, but I've been looking for something softer and more natural...and I think this product from Well People is a strong contender. I don't use brushes due to my skin's propensity for breakouts, so I applied this foundation with my fingers to clean skin after my morning skincare routine (toner, serums, and moisturizer). It blends adequately with just my fingers, but its lighter density would probably blend more smoothly with a brush, which I'll try next time. I applied a thin layer all over my face, and then went and applied a second layer to test the build-ability of the formula; the second layer provided the level of coverage I was looking for. Initially, because the formula is so serum-like - thick but wet - I was concerned about coverage and looking too "wet," but in a short time, it was like the foundation absorbed into my skin/dried and left a truly blurring, smoothing finish that wasn't matte but also wasn't wet. It provided a decent base for my bronzer and blush and didn't slide off when I blended the products in (cream bronzer and powder blush). It also wears well without sliding or sweating off or sinking into fine lines. As far as color - I've always struggled to find just the right color match for my skin tone. I'm somewhere between fair and light, cool and warm - never tan, but never a pale white sheet. I've worn 16N from Well People before, and it's just a TOUCH too light, but not SO light it's unwearable, especially after bronzer warms it up. I'd probably prefer this product in a slightly warmer/darker color, but it's tricky to figure that out without ordering 4 different colors. I also think a warmer color would more effectively neutralize redness, which I also struggle with. I'll probably wear out the rest of this bottle and try again with a different color next time. Overall, a good product that I'm grateful I got to test out!

I am a huge skincare junkie, so anytime a brand can combine skincare and makeup into one product I am completely on board. With this one, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. It is a serum foundation that is buildable and works beautifully with a brush, sponge, or your fingers. I started with one drop on each side of my face for a very sheer layer, then added one more drop per side and landed at exactly the coverage I was looking for. Not too much, not too little. I have oily combination skin and this gives me the most beautiful glow without ever looking greasy. The shade match number 20 light medium warm coloris so spot on that it genuinely looks like I am not wearing anything at all. I have included photos showing bare skin, then one drop on each cheek, then a single layer applied with a brush, and a second layer applied with my fingers so you can see exactly how it builds. I have quite a bit of redness and rosacea and this covers it enough that I still look completely natural, which is everything to me. Then on the last picture, it is exactly what I have on my face with just a little bit of concealer, bronzer, and setting powder on top. I love this brand and there are very few things I have tried from them that I was not a fan of, but this has shot straight to the top of my list. Side note, I just found out that Well People is distributed by ELF Beauty, which makes total sense because both are some of the most underrated drugstore brands out there and I reach for both constantly. Highly recommend if you want makeup that actually works with your skin instead of against it and lasts all day!

I use many (mostly) Well People products. I was excited to try this, but I chose a shade that is too light for me. The first time I applied it, I thought it was way too shear and liquid. Oddly, I shake everything - things that don't need to be shaken, but I didn't think to shake this. I have used powder foundation for years, so I forgot. Ha. Once shaken, it has a much better, beautifully light texture and a still shear cover, but enough to smooth out the tone of my skin. It's like a tinted moisturizer. I can't speak to the "skin care" of it all, but as foundation, it's nice. Because I chose a color that is too light, I will use it more as a highlighter under my powder foundation. Worth a try, though. Seems promising.

I just got this yesterday and I LOVE it. The first thing I noticed is that when you shake bottle it has a one of those little metal balls like the ones that come in nail polish to mix the color. I knew nothing about this brand or what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. I usually use a beauty blender to apply foundation and didn't need it due to the lightweight consistency. It applies like a serum and blends into the skin beautifully with your fingers. It also DOES NOT settle into fine lines or wrinkles. The color match was perfect and I decided to replace my concealer by just dabbing a little more over any problem areas. This included under my eyes and over my bobbi brown color corrector. The results were perfect coverage without dryness, creasing, or cakiness. The other thing I noticed immediately is how well the rest of my makeup applied on top of it. My skin did not get oily later in the day and it made skin look like skin not like you're wearing foundation. I am really shocked that I didn't need my beauty blender or my shape tape tarte concealer. I just used spf underneath it. The picture I posted is to show this shade on my light medium olive toned skin but it looks like your skin once you blend it in. Highly recommended!
