Good welding blanket - I really like the cutout to make it easy to position around a pipe. It has snaps to hold the blanket together after you place it over the pipe. The material is a bit thin for my liking - it doesn't seem very heavy duty. But I did use it for a project that required about 20 soldered joints close to a wall and the blanket did its job just fine - no damage to the wall at all. The blanket did smoke a bit the first few blasts with the torch, but then I guess the flammable bits burned off and it worked fine after that. After my project, I noticed the blanket started to tear a little bit at the hole. It can still be used just fine, and I only needed it for the project, but I wish it was a bit thicker and heavier duty feeling.

I had to replace a couple of old sink shut off valves and needed to protect my existing wall. These were as simple as can be. I pinned them to the drywall and went about my business removing & replacing the valves. They provided nice protection for a very short waterline barely protruding from the drywall. Without them there would have been more collateral damage. The pictures represent essentially (4) uses and as you can see, they held up pretty well.
