It's a useful tool. Eliminates the last of my excuses for avoiding weeding. The reason for the four stars is that I wouldn't buy it as a gift because of the rough finish. Straight out of the box it looks ugly, roughly finished, and has rust spots. I tried to show this in my photos. It's not a huge deal for personal use as using garden tools makes them not pristine after a while, but I wouldn't recommend as a gift. If I could break down my ranking it'd be: 2 stars for appearance, 5 stars for utility. I value function over fashion, so I rounded up from an average of 3.5 for my two categories for an overall rank of 4 stars.

Why does this arrive so rusty when it’s supposedly brand new??? Even if it is a good tool, the quality of its appearance gets a D minus. Given other reviews that say it arrived rusty, I guess sending it back and asking for a replacement would give me the same rusty product. But HONESTLY, people. Why can’t that be improved??

Tool worked well, the only issue I have is with the items description and photos. I do not think this is manganese steel as it is magnetic, in addition to that the tool came rusty and has no coating as depicted in some of the items photos. Teeth are very sharp, easy to use and light weight.

I hate weeds, but this tool is easy to use to pull them out. The top of the tool allows you to soften the soil around the weed, before using the forked portion to pull the weed out by the roots. The wood handle is sturdy, but a rubber handle would be easier to grip. It appears well-made and shouldn’t bend easily. A nice touch are the included garden gloves. Good value for the money.
