The use of essential oils specifically designed for laundry is a nice innovative concept and I like it! I have been using unscented laundry soap for many years now, not because I prefer no scent, far from it! The reason for it is because I don't like the synthetic and obnoxious smelling perfumes that are being used in conventional laundry detergents. Now and then I did try some of my essential oils for laundry but found them too overpowering for fabrics. This set of oils on the other hand are a good alternative. First off they all smell very natural and not artificial, unlike some lower grade essential oils. Then they are not too strong but just right, they indeed freshen up your laundry but don't heavily perfume it for several days which I don't want. The scents are all pleasant, some are citrus fruity and others more like kitchen spices and fresh herbs. These scents are in my opinion a much better and more appropriate match for laundry than those offensively fake perfume scents of regular laundry soaps. ... show more

    • Good quality, just not fond of some scents
I must confess, I strongly dislike the smell of clove oil. A couple of oils in the Wecona Essential Oils for Laundry collection prominently feature clove oil. Needless to say I’m not exceptionally fond of those. I much prefer zesty citrus fragrances, sweet florals and uplifting fruit smells. Some of these oils were described in such a way that I thought they would be blends that I’d love. I can’t say that I fell in love with any of these, but some are much more pleasant than others. “Out With the Stale Air” features the citrus scents I was hoping for, I really like this one. “Bright Linens” has an uplifting peppermint that I found quite refreshing. “Citrus Clean” is nice too, it also has citrus notes, but surprisingly not as much as “Out With the Stale Air”. I expected more of a citrus zing from something called “Citrus Clean”. “Fresh Laundry” is not at all what I expected from the name. I mostly detect the cedar, not a scent I usually associate with fresh laundry. “Welscome Home” and “It Smells so Fresh” are strong clove scents. I really don’t care for them at all. I’d like to point out that while the Wecona Oils say “for Laundry”, they certainly aren’t limited to that function. These oils can be used in diffusers, mixed for personal body applications, used in soaps, homemade cleaners, candles and more. In fact the scents with the clove oil, “Welcome Home”, “It Smells So Fresh”, are going to be used to repel pests in my home. Clove oil works great in pantries to keep out pantry moths, weevils and other invaders. These oils seem to be good quality, they’re quite potent. I believe they are going to perform very well however I use them. As with all things it comes down to personal preferences. I’m just not as fond of the spicy notes.     • Great smelling essential oils
These oils smell very nice. I especially like the citrus options that this set has. They are great for adding to wool laundry balls for the dryer for a fresh laundry scent. The only scent I didn't care for was the clove but that's a personal preference so I didn't count it against the set. If you enjoy clove you'll like it. But still a great set for the price even if there isn't a scent that isn't a favorite. The oils seem high quality and smell fresh and natural. ... show more

    • Lighter scent, decent to use for room sprays
Although this is named as essential oils for laundry, I didn’t really feel comfortable adding oils to my laundry load. Instead, I have been using it as air fresheners / room sprays. The scent is on the lighter side, since it’s probably made so it doesn’t damage clothes. I’ve been mixing it up to spray around the house.     • Beautiful and lovely blends
I really like these blends of essential oils. I know they are advertised as for laundry and I will use those on my laundry balls, but I really like them in my diffuser. I like that they are not just essential oils, but are unusual blends of essential oils. The names are cute. For the price you get a lot of essential oil blends, which is a good deal. There’s only one in the bunch that I would say is a little unpleasant for me, but in the right setting it would be great.
