Honestly I didn't expect this is be as nice as it actually is. Ok so I was a little surprised when this thing came. It was sent and delivered as expected and in a timely manner so thank you for that. When I got it I really thought I was going to have to return but now I can happily say THERE IS NO WAY IM RETURNING THIS!! I'm so in love. Looks fabulous and not cheap at all. We are using it as a hat rack so I don't have heavy items on it but I know if this thing doesn't hold up its the installers fault. I never use the hardware that come with anything that hold weight I go and buy parts I know will hold up and not break. Usually only cost me $6 at the most from the hardware store plus it's cheap but well spent investment for peace of mind. Anyways back to the item its great and looks amazing!! I was really happy with this purchase. It's a nice solid piece of wood. The rustic look is classic and it's really well made, which is hard to find these days. You'll need time and patience to install it straight and even if you're doing this by yourself. Once attached, it feels secure and flush. It doesn't wobble or shift. I needed a place to hang all my dog gear (leashes, collars, harnesses, etc.) I had the perfect place to put it and it fits perfectly. I love the look. It wasn't that hard to install. I recommend anchor screws. Remember to measure twice. I love that the mounting holes are exactly 16 inches apart so you can mount to studs it that works for you. I had to use anchor screws because it wouldn't have been centered on the wall if I had attached to the studs. All in all I am very pleased with this product. ... show more

This is the perfect size for what we were looking for - we needed something above our bench and most other racks are simply to small. This is solid and real wood. The two downsides: give the whole thing a wipe down with a moist paper towel. The brown stain comes off on your hands and the wall when measuring to hand, and surely would come off on hats or coats hung as well. Once I wiped it down it seems fine. Second, installation would be tough for the average homeowner as no template is given (or at least mine didn't come with one). I also used only the outer two holes with 75lb anchors (my own) and it is solid on the wall. Measuring and level are the other things that you must do without a template. ... show more

I gave the assembly four stars because the metal hook holes in the back are not perfectly straight. They are slightly off. Fortunately I know what to pay attention to, and did a few minor measuring adjustments and leveling. I love how it looks. I only used two of the three mounts on the back, and it’s still super sturdy.
