This brush is awesome and effective. The "brush" portion is soft, as you would expect. It spreads nicely and then you toss in the top shelf of your dishwasher. I have a basket for such items and it cleans nicely there. I have also just put in a glass with some detergent and washed it by hand. As well as heat tolerance, I believe one of the best things about silicone is the ease of cleaning. The handle is long, but not super long... eyeballing it.... about 12" inches or so? The "brushes" are about 2" ? I didn't find the length of the bristles or the handle to be too short or too long in use, both were just right to me. I believe that it s a quality item and will last for a long time, however, I will and do update if I find any issues in wear or otherwise. The brush arrived in two days. I was grilling chicken on two grills, one gas and one charcoal. Over forty minutes I continued to bast chicken on both grills. The brush worked flawlessly. It was easy to clean up. I am happy with my purchase.

I was never a fan of basting brushes. I have OCD and the fact you could never get them clean grosses me out. They have to be dishwasher safe in my opinion. I had some silicone brushes in the past but they degraded or fell apart from use or the dishwasher. However, this silicone basting brush seems to be holding up fairly well. It does a great job picking up the sauce and slathering it on the meat and seems to be holding up perfectly with a dishwasher run after every use. It seems more durable and hefty as do most Weber products. I think the couple extra bucks for the Weber name was worth it since they generally do come with higher quality relatively speaking. ... show more

This thing is really nice. Just as advertised, it holds a good amount of sauce, no dripping (Your brand of sauce may vary), and spreads it evenly and easily. It's weight is just heavy enough to feel solid, but still light. It doesn't feel cheap at all. The handle long enough to keep your hands away from the heat, but doesn't unbalance the whole thing. Speaking of balance, I keep my sauce in a cereal bowl, and place the brush inside with the handle sticking way out. It doesn't flip out of the bowl, flinging sauce everywhere, I thought that was a nice surprise. Overall, I'd have to recommend it. ... show more
