We've had our Weber Q200 grill for quite some time now and our original cast iron grate had seen it's better days. It's always been difficult to get really clean and as a result it didn't get cleaned as often as it should. As it began to shed rather significant rusted chunks of itself I knew it was time to replace it - and I was hoping to find something more durable and perhaps easier to maintain. This is it! The extra cost over a standard cast iron grate is absolutely worth it. It fits exactly as it should and after a few uses I just bring it in, drop it in a sink full of soapy water and let it sit overnight. The next day a little scrubbing brings it back to like brand new again. I know we've been using our grill much more often this summer than we had been for many years and that is definitely a direct result of not having to dread the mess and trouble of trying to clean that old cast iron grate.     • Easy install, but more prone to flare-ups.
Replaced an original Weber Q220 grate with this part. Fit was perfect and install was very easy and stable with the provided adapter brackets. The split-design is much easier to clean vs single-piece original. I'd give it 5-stars, but taking a star off for the new grate being much more flare-up prone than the original -- grease seems to build up at the bottom of the grate easier requiring more frequent cleaning. ... show more

The porcelain enameled grate is made by Weber. Probably worth the extra cost. It's very easy to clean with just a grill brush and, unlike the original full-size grate, this one with the two halves is much easier to handle.

    • Two pieces fit well with brackets in Weber Q-200 grill..
These grates are nice and the brackets that come along with them work well. I have a Q-200 Weber grill. The brackets are to hold the two grates up in the middle because the grate I replaced was one large one. After 15 years of use the old one finally rusted and these fit perfectly plus they are porcelain coated which makes them easier to clean. It is easier to remove them because they aren't as heavy as the one piece large one was. ... show more

    • 2 PIECE GRATE WITH BRACKETS!!
I"m quite happy with this new grate for my Weber Q200. I think that the description should indicate that it's two piece and includes the brackets because I almost didn't see the brackets in the box like so many others have also posted. Some folks have complained that the brackets didn't fit but the brackets that I received worked fine so maybe they changed the design of the brackets. The brackets that I received have two slots- a thin slot and a wider slot to fit over the grate holders on the inside of the grill. The brackets fit on the front and back using the wider slot. This grate is in two pieces which is nice since it's much easier to carry and clean in the kitchen sink. This grate is also porcelain coated unlike the original grate that came with it. I'm hoping the porcelain will hold up and be easier to clean. ... show more

I have an older Q200 and it wasn't made for slit grates,(Although the description for the grate says it will fit a Q200 ) the supports are very thin. and when you press any where near the middle it folds down, a heavy steak will end up in the bottom of the grill. To people who are thinking of getting a split grate check the grate supports if it won't support both sides, get a one piece grate..... Sorry about that I missed the supports that came with the grate for the Q200 , with the supports in place it's steady as rock. ... show more
