  • The Weber 7137 Tank Cover dresses up your grill
I recently purchased a Weber Genesis II S-310 gas grill at Lowes. It's a nice looking grill but the propane tank is just plan ugly, especially with the tanks refilled by Blue Rhino or Amerigas. They look like they've been repainted 20 times and the plastic wrapper around the tank looks low budget. The Weber 7137 Tank Cover is totally unnecessary but it dresses up your grill and helps hide the ugly tank for around $10. The cover is made of high quality material and the logo lets everyone know that you have a Weber. Only drawback...it's a bit difficult to get the cover on the tank....similar to getting a large person into a Speedo...but looks much better once it's on. ... show more

  • Nice
I like this tank cover a lot. I don't have a closed area for my tank storage, so this cover works to protect the tank somewhat from the elements, and dresses it up a bit. The only caveat is - beware of spiders nesting inside it! I put my garden gloves on when I remove it, and I check to make sure that spiders are not around the valve when I turn the gas on and off. ... show more

  • Did I need it? No. Is it super cool? Yes. Should you buy it? Yup!
Whether you own or rent (Blue Rhino) propane tanks, they are usually a bit dingy or dinged up, logo stickers are peeling, and they aren't a nice sight. If you are looking at this cover, you likely have a Weber, so you care about having a top notch grill and you likely take care of it. So why have a beautiful grill and have nasty propane tanks near it. I love this...it's a totally "not necessary" purchase, but it really finishes off the look of your grill setup and deck/patio area. I have two tanks...so I don't have the cover on the tank inside the cabinet of the grill. But the one I have next to it has the cover and it looks great. ... show more

  • Why not?
As others have mentioned. A totally unnecessary purchase. With that being said, it is great!. Why not cover up the unsightly tank with a weber tank cover? My dad laughed at me and rolled his eyes when he came over and saw this on the tank of my Weber. Because of his laughing I promptly ordered another and had it shipped to him for his Weber. He called laughing again after receiving it and of course, loves it. It’s like a Rubber for your tank. ... show more

  • Protective cover and product loyalty in one.
This is something we did without, and I now wish had picked up a long time ago. I like to keep the L.P. gas containers clean and end up washing the dust off of them several times a season. I’ve been trying to maintain the plastic manufacturer shrink wrap label as well, but due to the plastics being UV sensitive they tend to breakdown. This cover allows for protection during those times the main BBQ cover is removed. I’m very happy with its form, fit, and function. Ok, I also like to see the Webber name on the side of the tank. ... show more

  • Seriously? Do you need this?
The answer to do you NEED this is not really, BUT it sure looks nice. After reading all the reviews on the Weber brand grill covers having such issues, especially for the price I opted to purchase a different brand of cover. As a silly gift for my hubby I purchased this Weber cover for our LP tank & find it's actually quite nice. The tank didn't look all that great connected to the shiny new grill. Now it's looking pretty good! Like an LBD (er cover) for the tank if you will. Arrived quick (of course, go Amazon!), fits and looks great! Seems like a silly purchase, but I'd buy it again. ... show more

  • Better looking than a naked propane tank
Cosmetically effective, durability remains to be seen. Fabric pretty thin. Elastic closure at bottom which does not completely cover bottom of tank, purse string closure at top which similarly does not create a seal. Cover partially protects tank from dust, but not from much else. Effectively hides the ugliness of the tank, but does not provide much tank protection, and does not prevent contact of bottom of tank with surface underneath, and potential rust stains. Great if all you want to do is cover up the ugly tank (which was my intention). If you are looking for something more, this may not be the answer. A waste if you like looking at the naked tank. Inexpensive, shipped promptly. ... show more
