I spent a lot of time researching to find a reasonably priced sewing machine. I chose it with a foot pedal and a nice textured beginner’s sewing kit. It's beautiful and comes with instructions, which is enough for me to understand. This machine is very light and compact and does what I want it to do. It's much smaller than I remember sewing machines being. I'm sewing layers of faux leather to make cosplay costumes and it's awesome. I didn't set the thread tension specifically and started using it as it arrived, but the seams came out beautifully even in the thick areas where the fabric overlapped.
