I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter, who's into gymnastics. I got the 4'x6'x2" size, purple and pink. She does tumbling on it, but mainly I got it to go under the 8' balance beam she got for Christmas. It slides right under the beam and just gives her a little extra cushion when she falls off the beam, or lands her moves. Good quality, good amount of cushion. I'll probably be buying another in the future. UPDATE 06.17.2017: I did by another mat (same size and color), for my daughter's birthday. She loves the fact that they velcro together so she can do longer tumbling passes than before. The one from Christmas still looks great after daily use for almost six months.

The mat is exactly what we wanted for exercising and stretching. It's wider than most, so there's room to move about, use a roller, stand and stretch, etc. and it's firm enough that you can do exercises lying on the mat and not feel the floor beneath you. It's got the feel of a mat from the gym, though the cover is slightly less heavy (then again, there's two of us using it, not a "gymful" of people, so that's not a problem). Because it's in three attached sections and fairly lightweight, it's easy to fold up and move out of the way when you don't want it on the floor.

Very nice mat, a bit wider than I expected for just working out but I didn't measure before I ordered either and that does not matter to me. The width would be a big plus for connecting multiple mats I expect. The construction seems very good and the mat is quite firm with no feeling of the floor when I drop down full weight on a knee. I'm not huge but a solid 190 lbs concentrated on one spot and the mat is still absorptive yet firm. I expect this mat will last a very long time

I wanted to get a reasonably priced mat for my 7 year old to use for the occasional tumbling practice in my basement. The floor is peel and stick laminate over concrete, so I wanted something to protect her from bumps and strain on her joints. So far this mat has surpassed my expectations. It's sturdy, yet forgiving and it comes with velcro edges so if I wanted to, I could buy another mat and join them together. I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend this product.

Bought this for my 4 month old daughter for Christmas! We have all hard floors so this was perfect for her to roll around on. Tons of padding but not mushy where she would get stuck in it. She plays on it every day and it's super easy to wipe down and keep clean. Hoping she will get many many years of use out of this (and with a gymnastics coach for a mom, I'm pretty sure she will!).

we needed a soft space in our living room for our baby to play and i didn't want the eye sore of a wild multicolored baby mat -- this black mat does the trick! and i it folds up perfectly to slide out of sight when not in use (which is nearly never, but at least it's possible). it's also very easy to clean - just wipe down with clorox wipe for all the spills, spit, etc. added bonus: my older daughter uses it to practice gymnastics. win-win!
