The media could not be loaded. This affordable - but nice quality - WDT tool is a helpful gizmo that is worth it for better espresso. I had my doubts before trying it, but the WDT method does work to ensure an even espresso distribution and improved extraction. This WDT tool is a 9-pin whisk, and the maker helpfully includes extra pins to replace any that break. The metal of the tool is surprisingly heavy, and it feels high quality for its price point. I find the smooth interface between the tool and its holder particularly satisfying. The pins themselves make it easy to distribute the grounds in my portafilter within around 20 seconds. You do have to chase clumps a bit, but otherwise the whisk works. I have noticed an improvement in the density of my espresso cakes when using this tool: they are denser, easier to compact, and are more consistent over multiple uses. I generally clean mine between uses with a simple rinse, but you can very gently use soap and a sponge to clean the pins. Considering how affordable this WDT tool is, I would definitely consider this one if you want a nice quality little tool to level up your espresso. ... show more

I snagged this TIVERAIN Espresso Distributor, and it's pretty sweet. It feels sturdy in your hand, which is a good sign right off the bat. Using it is simple, and they even threw in some extra needles, which is a nice bonus. One minor downside is that the stand doesn't double as a cap, which would've been handy for storage. After watching how to properly use this tool I developed a bigger appreciation for it. It’s so efficient at taking out the clumps of coffee ground so that my espresso machine can clamp down properly. It’s really neat how easily it just spreads the grounds around.

The needles are firm, they stab in and stir well. The whole unit is nice and heavy, has a nice feel to it. The holder works very nicely, very smooth. Overall it's a really nice coffee/espresso accessory. It looks nice, it feels nice, and it works nice. I'm very pleased with it.

This is a very nice tool for expressos. The tool is really easy to use. You just hold it like a pen and gently swirl it around in the coffee grounds. This espresso stirrer tool is awesome because it has these tiny needles that you use to gently stir the coffee grounds in your espresso machine's portafilter. Before we had this tool, sometimes our espresso would come out too bitter or not strong enough, but now it tastes just like the espresso from our favorite coffee shop. ... show more

    • Nice espresso stirrer tool, but its shape makes it hard to store easily
So I like the tool overall. I think it does its intended job pretty well. I also like the feel of the tool when using it. Its nice that it comes with extra needles for replacement if they are ever needed. Unfortunately its kind of a pain to store the tool because of its shape. I don't have a station with the perfect place to keep it but its this little round cylinder and since the size of it is kind of narrow its not super stable to just sit in its enclosure. It also doesn't attach securely to the storage enclosure either so if it happens to roll away or get tipped over the stirrer is almost definitely going for a ride. If you have it on your counter its probably rolling off and hitting the floor which is likely why you need a bunch of spare needles right away. If you are careful in storing it its a nice tool it just feels like it takes an extreme level of care to be sure you don't damage it in my opinion. ... show more
