100% better than the originals that came with my Astro A050’s (gen 4) especially the top headset piece I have used them for a couple weeks now and they are very comfortable all the way around they also fit into the base station perfectly just like the originals did I’m not sure if they fix the top headset piece from falling out because I already had the plastic clip I purchased on Amazon to keep that from happening and I just put it back on when these arrived they are extremely easy to change no tools or anything the ear cups are held in with magnets you simply just pull them off and stick the new ones back on I have never noticed any cooling features they talk about ( nor did I really expect to honestly) they may be more expensive than others but well worth it I would highly recommend these to anyone

These are very comfortable and it sounds better, because of the better seal around your ears. They were very easy to install with the magnetic connections. I got basic black.

This wicked cushion set is amazing for upgrading the comfort of the a50x. The stock headband is a little light on the padding, so adding the headband is a great way to increase the long term comfort for the a50x. The pads are also a big comfort upgrade as they have the cooling gel. Keep in mind the pads will have a negative effect on the sound quality, so you need to EQ the headset to get some of the old sound quality back.

I saw these Wicked replacement pads for headsets quite a while back and wanted to try them out. I was just not sure because the price is a little steep for me. When I got offered them on vine to try out I jumped at them. I have the Gen 4 A50's that are notorious for the headband pad coming loose and falling out. I had 3d printed a repair piece to keep them together, that sort of worked. My original pads were very soft and pretty comfortable, but the headband pad was shot and dug into my head occasionally. For this reason I was really happy to see the upgrade kit included this pad. Installation is pretty straight forward. There are left and right ear pads that are shaped for each specific side and held on by magnets. The headband pad you have to wiggle the old one a little bit to get it out and the new one snaps in place. If your head band is worn out like mine, you may still need some kind of support to hold the outside bars together. Thingiverse is your friend. The headband upgrade was immediate heaven for me. No more sharp stabs in my scalp. The ears pads took a bit longer to appreciate. When I first started a gamin session with them they were rubbing on my lower ear lobe just a bit. After a while they got a little painful. I learned you have to lower the pards more than you are used to and make sure they are below your lobes entirely. Once I did this, they were amazing. The cloth is nice and soft and seal to your face very well. the gel does indeed cool too. I gamed for a couple of hours and the headphones were still nice and cool and comfortable. No sore spots to be found. Now that I have tried them and seen not only how good they look, but how comfortable they are to wear. I can honestly say they are worth the price. The quality is top notch, and should hold up a good long time.

These are exactly what I was looking for. The summer months where I live are HOT and the pads the Astro A50s come with make long sessions feel like a chore. These pads are excellent at dispersing that heat! They're much thinner than the originals, but they feel much more comfortable. There's really not much more I can say. My only question will be if these pads will stand the test of time. If I find after a few months that they're not maintaining their softness and feel too compacted, I'll be back here to update. But for now, 5 stars all the way 👍
