Used during a surf lesson and did well. Others had similar/same board. I like the 8' versus 9' and was able to get up on the board after 1 try (guess I have good balance). Before use, I waxed the surface with foam board specific board wax base then tropical to get a good grip which made a big difference. Decent beginner board. This is a great surfboard for those just starting to learn. My daughter is a new teen but is already 5’8”, this board was such a great fit for her. The colors are amazing, vibrant and beautiful. The board is extremely lightweight for one of this size! So affordable at the clearance price, I was able to surprise my straight A Honors Student with a gift she has been dreaming of! Great board for beginners or to play around with. I have used in 2ft - 10ft waves and it makes do. The leash is horrible. Keeps twisting on itself and you have to get off the board to untangle. After untangling x20 in an hour of surfing I replaced it.

The media could not be loaded. I highly recommend getting a better leash and a single fin. The leash provided is like a spring that will tangle your ankles and leave you "tomb stoning" like a downrigger if that makes sense.. Save yourself the grief and get a nice leash typically the length of the board... Also the Perfect storm single fin is 🍒 it will make the board even more enjoyable if you love that classic feel ... show more

I got this for my son after he did a surf camp. It's the perfect beginner board for the small waves that we have here. Soft, inexpensive, and relatively easy for him to deal with.

Great board you glide threw the water and catch waves easily but the leash it wrapped around you and the board recommend to take it off
