This is perfected!!!! I love to watch the surfing competitions. Every chance I can I watch them. Since I was 8 years old I would save up my money to buy the Surfer Magazine. Which was a lot of bucks back in the day. My problem was I lived in the California San Joaquin Valley not too many chances to surf. I promised myself that when I grew up I would go to Hawaii and see the REAL SURFERS. And I have for over 30 years. So the Surfboard I bought is on my back patio up in the beams of the patio roof. My 10 year old daughter wanted to learn how to surf this Summer. Both of her brothers surf. We have tons of surfboards ranging from short boards to longboards. I knew that if she got frustrated her first time out, she would give up, that's just her personality, so I knew it was important to get her a foam longboard. I didn't want to spend the money on a new Odysea $500-$600 when she may or may not fall in love with surfing, so I decided to try this board. It turned out to be a great choice! She was able to catch a wave and stand up within the first hour. Also, she's able to carry it above her head herself! Remember, the longer the board, the easier it is to stand up, don't think short kids need short boards, it doesn't work that way. Now I'm the proud Grom-mom to all 3 of my kids!!! ... show more

The first time we ordered this board it was 'lost' during the shipping process which was over 2 weeks. After confirming that it was lost, we opted to receive another board instead of a refund. It FINALLY came without any damage to the board which we were super worried about. The box was heavily damaged but the board was in great shape. The perfect board for new surfers who are already catching waves, shorebreak surfers and surfers short on a budget. Occasionally you can find pretty sick deals on these, I believe the price I paid on Amazon was a bit too much considering Costco in Maui sold them for 109$. If you do buy one I’d buy a new leash, the stock one (being spiraled up in package so long) will try to kill you. I had this tie my feet together several times and that was enough. I’ve only broke one wavestorm and that was in like 8ft shore break ... show more

This foam board looks so cool but is also so functional. It's sturdy, great for beginners (like me), and has been really easy to take out to the ocean. It is very light weight to carry for even a small guy (like me). Reasonable price for a new board!
