  • Great product, looks great on my pontoon

  • Had it 18 months and it's broken
Style: 54-pound Thrust, 54-inch Shaft
$500 piece of crap... The Watersnake website is useless. no diagrams - no diagnostics - only a couple of repair parts with absolutely no photos. I suggest using your money on a Minn Cota.

  • So far so good
Style: 54-pound Thrust, 54-inch Shaft
It's a bit slack in some areas-eg pull cord handle broke , prop easily nicked, etc. But the "in--out" mechanism works well, and it delivers the power needed for my 16' boat. Didn't like the design feature that requires the end of the mounting bracket to extend beyond the gunnel rim.

  • Great Motor
Style: 54-pound Thrust, 54-inch Shaft
I bought this tiller motor 12 years ago to mount on the bow of my skiff. It has performed flawlessly. I fish primarily salt / brackish water. No corrosion issues. Works flawlessly. UPDATE - just bought my 2nd Water Snake Assault bow mounted salt water motor. These motors are tough. If you can find one buy it ! We have them on 2 boats now. They have never let us down. Hands down the best tiller controlled bow mounted salt water motor made. No need for more than 12 volts and 54 lbs of thrust on a small (less than 18ft) boat. The motor runs all day on a fully charged marine battery. Heck the motor even got me home when the gas motor broke down. It took a while and 2 batteries but we made it. Thanks ... show more

  • Good product/needs improvement
Style: 54-pound Thrust, 54-inch Shaft
Good product for the money. Works well for my boat, 16.5' key largo. Does have a flaw though, the top part where the controls are isn't waterproof at all. This is why I give it 3 stars. I have owned several of these and all have same problem. I have taken top cover off, applied dielectric grease to connections, added oring to tiller handle, (housing has groove for oring already), and sealed cover back on with silicone sealant. Easy and quick improvement that hopefully will result in no corrosion issues in the years to come. ... show more
