I received this WATERFLY 20L daypack through Amazon Vine and have been using it daily as my new work bag. Right out of the box (it came well-sealed in plastic), I was genuinely surprised by the quality. The nylon-like fabric feels substantial and water-resistant (not fully waterproof, but it should handle light rain well). The zippers and buckles feel solid, and the overall construction gives a premium impression for a lightweight pack. Comfort is where this bag really shines.
The shoulder straps are wide and comfortable, dispersing weight nicely so the pack feels almost weightless on my back. The backpanel that touches you is nicely padded and breathable, though I haven’t worn it long enough during physical activity to fully test sweat management. Even loaded with my daily gear, it sits well and doesn’t dig in. Out of all the backpacks I own—including North Face, Cotopaxi, JanSport, and military-style packs—this one is easily the most comfortable to wear. It’s the kind of bag you can realistically wear all day for hiking or travel without fatigue. Capacity & Organization (20L)
This is a true 20L pack, and it swallows a surprising amount when packed thoughtfully. In my setup (as shown in the photos), it comfortably holds: • 14” MacBook (in the padded laptop compartment) • External keyboard + mouse • Headphones • Notebook • Game controller • Charging cables and small accessories • Stanley tumbler and a large water bottle in the side pockets • iPhone 15 Pro Max (fits snugly and securely in the strap phone pocket) • Large pocket knife (fits easily in the other side pocket) Everything stays secure with very little shifting. The main rear compartment is the largest and most useful. The middle section feels a bit shallow and oddly shaped — I wanted to use it for headphones, but ended up storing them with the laptop instead. The front smallest pouch is the least useful; it holds cords fine but couldn’t fit my semi-large power bank along with the cables. A few practical notes: • There’s minimal padding inside to protect contents (only the backpanel and laptop sleeve have decent cushioning). I added a couple pieces of cloth at the bottom of the laptop area for extra protection, though the sides feel adequately padded. • The side bottle holders work well for decent-sized bottles. • The key leash is handy, but the plastic clasp on it feels like the weakest point—if anything breaks first, that would be my guess. • Hydration bladder compatibility is there if you need it, but I’m not using that feature. I removed my MacBook’s hard shell case because the extra width made one bottle holder unusable. Without the case, everything fits cleanly. Who is this bag for?
It’s marketed as a hiking/trekking/travel daypack, and it delivers there — lightweight, comfortable, and well-organized for day trips or vacation exploring. As a daily work bag it’s honestly overkill in the best way; the comfort makes carrying my tech and essentials a pleasure. It might not be ideal as a heavy school backpack (too much weight could fight against the lightweight design), but for digital nomads, hikers, or anyone wanting a comfortable daypack, it’s excellent. Value: At the current price, it feels worth it if you’re used to premium bags. The build quality and standout comfort make it a strong contender against more expensive options. I plan to keep using this daily and will update the review if I notice any durability issues (rips, zipper failures, etc.) over time. So far, it feels high-quality and I’m very happy with it. Highly recommended for men or women who want comfort and light weight in a versatile 20L pack.

Then the last two years and most notably the last few months, waterfly has become one of my more favorite pack design companies. They consistently put out high quality packs and pouches and slings as a wide variety of choices and colors. This day pack is absolutely awesome I really like how light it is even when it's full. The breathable back panel is super strong yet dense, The straps are well made and good no they're not super thickly padded and there's a couple of smaller pouches built into the front of them, as well as a whistle. It is a small pack so it doesn't have a large capacity but it does hold enough. Keep in mind it is only a day pack not a rucksack. I have about a day and a half worth of clothes in it and some other odds and ends some pens notebooks things like that, I keep it in my car. It does have a internal pouch for a laptop I don't understand why day packs for hiking have that but it seems like every backpack has those nowadays. There's also a stretchy mesh pouch on the outermost part of the pack I guess you would call that the front you can place a raincoat or maybe a small tarp or something that stretches really well and it's made out of nice mesh. The stitching throughout the entire thing is perfect The zipper poles are generous and strong and large for you to hook onto with your fingers instead of having to pinch and grab you can hook and pull. So far I've not gotten it wet so I have no idea if it's waterproof looks like it might be, and for the specific pack for the colors that are available I really love the light gray it's really sleek.

This hiking day pack is really well designed, whether you are going hiking or using it for travel it has multiple pockets and compartments all over, including on the shoulder strap! They left no area unused making it a great investment! I especially love the zip pocket on one of the shoulder straps and two mesh pockets and a place to hang your glasses. The pockets on either side securely held my IPhone 15. I like that on the pocket on the zipper only opens half way so you don't have to worry about things falling out by accidentally opening it too far. It also allows you to have smaller things you may need close at hand, and in front of you. It includes deep water bottle holders on each side of the backpack, I love how deep they are, securing a 16 ounce bottle completely , which means it can also hold the taller, thinner bottles also. I love that it has a key holder clip on the inside, a great way to store keys and to be able to very quickly find them. In the back pocket, my Macbook Air 15 inch fits perfectly along with my IPad. Not only does it have lots of places to help you organize, but the back has vented thick foam making it more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. This makes it breathable and offers more support for the bag. This is very well made. There is attention to detail all over this backpack. There are places to tie or hang things all over and multiple places to adjust the pack for the most secure and comfortable fit. There are holes at the top where you can thread your hydration pack tubes through. This is amazingly well designed! I love this pack and it is great also as a work back and wonderful for travel! This is absolutely worth the price if you are looking for a daypack backpack that maximizes space.
