This end table is absolutely gorgeous. The hardest part of the assembly was the styrofoam particles stuck to the table and clean up. The actual assembly took about 20 minutes and the easiest item I have assembled recently. The finish and color look great in my living room. I read comments saying "it's plywood" or "it's laminated". I've ordered two of these. The end tables were well packaged and the instructions were clear. Both were very easy to put together. Always remember, assemble with all screws / bolts slightly loose. Once everything is in place, tighten down. Like most purchasers, I agree that there were tiny little pieces of Styrofoam clinging to the end table and flying all over the house. No worry, a vacuum cleaner will easily pick up all of those pieces. Once assembled, the end tables are very sturdy and look very nice. One of the end tables had one top corner slightly dented, however, the manufacturer stained that imperfection and it actually adds character to the piece. All other pieces of the wood look exceptional. The end tables are very sturdy / heavy and I'm sure they will last if taken care of properly. As with any wood / veneer products, use coasters for drinks and use felt coverings on lamps and any heavy objects to prevent damage. From my short experience with this manufacturer, I would purchase from them again. ... show more

Much easier to assemble than Ikea. 8 screws with washers to assemble, plus 4 pieces that knock in with a rubber mallet. Very nice. Solid oak top. Oak plywood components. Exactly the dimensions and mission style I was looking for! Took some time and perseverance going through all the tables offered for sale both on Amazon and other online stores including some brick and mortar. It paid off with this table! Mixed reviews made me feel apprehensive but once I got it set up I was thrilled! Maybe I'm just fortunate to have gotten a good one. My table is flawless. Even coloring, striking wood grain details, no marks or wood scrapes...stands without wobbling and holds a lot of weight comfortably. My only gripe about it is that I don't need the drawer Lol. The drawer, by the way, is not as small as other reviewers may imply. It's a reasonable size and depth. The slides work smoothly and it is centered properly. The shelf is adjustable which I like too. It's a sturdy, handsome piece of furniture for a mission style vibe. As a side note: I bought this table and shortly after the price jumped up roughly $70 afterwards. At the price I bought it, I thought it was pricey and I hated spending the $$$ but it was exactly what I needed in size so I went for it. At the higher price, I don't know...I may have gotten it because it was the perfect size but I would have resented having to spend so much EVEN if I didn't know it was much cheaper a week ago. Shame on Leick furniture for raising the price so much. ... show more

I do not like to assemble furniture. When I got the box, I tyhought how will I put this together. It took me 15 min to assemble. No tools. It is also really nice furniture. Great quality.

We have a small bedroom and had room for only one normal sized bedside table. I searched for and found these narrow ones, and was able to replace the one larger one with a narrow one on each side. They look great, and are clearly high quality - we are very pleased that we've made this change. I'm not all that good with putting things together, but this wasn't that bad and the directions were excellent. These match our bedroom furniture, look great and will hold up because of the quality. Upon unboxing there was clear damage to the bottom shelf, its end piece was at an angle, loose, but being held on by staples. I bent it back and decided too keep it because that part was not visible for my use. Were it in the open, I would probably glue and clamp it in place. The boxing and packing materials were fine, so it likely happened at the factory. The top and legs are solid boards, but the rest of it it plywoold, it seems to be heavy solid plywood, but its not solid wood. The drawer was very narrow, unnecessarily, maybe 3"-4". Id hoped to use it to store more knickknacks next to the couch, it may only fit a couple remotes. I'm not sure if this was covered in the product description, if it was, I missed it. The Styrofoam beads from the cheap packing were stuck everywhere, Id suggest not unboxing and assembling in a living space, even then you may need compressed air or a vacuum to clean up. Otherwise it looks fine and seem heavy and sturdy after assembly. ... show more
