Re-doing my product review , after a failed attempt to make this item work , I made a " bad " review on this item , after posting it here , I got an email from Kimberly from Customer Service to let me know she could send me a new filter set up If I would give them an other chance , I said yes , next day or two I had a new box with a new filter set up , I got really impress by the way they wanted to make things right about their product , so After few days , I finally got to do another set up with the filter on the new tankless water heater in my house , set up was easy this time after Kimberly gave me some pointers of what I should do this time in order to not have a leak , I fallow her instructions and I am happy to say that the system works as advertised ! No leaks and I am really happy that the new set up works perfectly ! Thanks to Kimberly for her time and effort to make things right on their product . Recommend it 100% !

Once you get the bugger in, works great. If you have a fridge like mine, you understand the annoyance of changing the filter. For mine you have to lay on the floor (literally!) and don't forget to take a pair of pliers down with you because you'll never turn that bugger without them. Then change it out and put the fridge back together (I have to remove the baseboard thing). After you do all that you are sooo happy that this filter lasts a looong time! I don't bother with setting the calendar, I can taste the change in the water when I need to replace it.

Update: I was able to get in contact with their customer service. They sent me a new unit which arrived in a couple of days. Installed exactly the same way as I tried with the first one, but no leaks this time! I'm not sure why there's some issues with these units. It looks like other reviewers had issues too but they were also fixed with a new unit. Thank you waterdrop customer service! I installed the whole house scale inhibitor filter, but unfortunately it's leaking. I've clamped the fittings, but unfortunately water leaks from the waterdrop unit. I haven't had luck reaching customer support leaving a review here as that seems to have worked for others.

I’ve had this installed for about a year now I haven’t really noticed too much difference and the hardness of the water, but that sort of a hard thing to gauge and and so far it hasn’t leaked.

The media could not be loaded. This scale inhibitor has a major defective flaw. It leaks. I've been plumbing my whole life and it is rare that any part of a job needs to be taken apart to fix a leak in the job. This job had two leaks. Two of them. Both on the T connection of this scale inhibitor. I wrapped the nipples with several wraps of a quality teflon tape and both of them are leaking. I swear I wish manufacturers would test their items before they sell them. I don't know if this leak can be stopped because the thing has been wrapped with plenty of teflon tape. I will take it apart and see if more will fix it. If it doesn't, this will be returned for something that works. It's not like I don't know what I'm doing either. I soldered over ten seperate joints and had twelve other screw together fittings on this tankless water heater install. This company's T fitting leaked on both sides. Both of them. I am so pissed right now.

The system may be effective in areas with lower levels of hard water; however, in my location it did not provide any noticeable improvement. While the concept shows potential, results appear to depend heavily on local water conditions. Update The vendor contacted me about working on finding a solution to my problem. They are quick on answering any questions you have and are easy to work with.
