  • Easy to purchase. It fits.

  • Bulb only lasted 2 months.
I bought this bulb because I am required to replace the UV bulb annually. It was installed, along with a sediment filter in August 2017. The sensor kept going off intermittently for a brief period during each day. I told the maintenance man who thought maybe it was because I had purchased the wrong filter. In September, he installed the correct filter, but had trouble getting the sensor unit to reset. He thought maybe I should put water softener cleaner and fresh tablets in the softener. SO, we did that. Still the sensor would alarm intermittently. So my guy took the bulb out and found there was a crack and a chip of glass in the bulb. So, he put the old bulb back in. I had to purchase another UV bulb, to the tune of nearly $200 in order to make the system perform correctly. At $200 a pop, I expect the bulbs to last a year. The only reason I have to change it annually is the requirement of the state health department. ... show more

  • TWO bad bulbs in a row...
I had similar issue to the other review -- intermittent beeping, silencing doesn't help because it clears and then beeps again. It's LOUD. But started beeping in March, we replaced the bulb because I always keep one on hand -- new bulb, still beeping -- so I tried a second new bulb. Still beeping. After replacing the quartz this isn't cheap either) we still had issues, and after bringing a new sensor to install, they finally figured out that the two new bulbs I had were simply defective. I'm so not impressed, I've got $400 worth of useless bulbs and potentially hazardous water in our house... ... show more

  • Easy installation.
Just changing the bulb is easy. Follow the directions. Changing the protective tube is more involved, but still a DIY job.
